Demonland Player of the Year - Round 2

Featured Replies

My money is on Grimes and Petterd/Bruce a close second this year. IMO

6 - Mark Jamar - Made Jolly and Fraser his [censored]

5 - Ricky Petterd - Dazzling display that gives hope to our forward line

4 - Aaron Davey - absolute genius at work

3 - Jack Grimes - enough said

2 - Brad Green - just keeps on producing

1 - Jordan Mckenzie - had 12 tackles again, looks the goods

the SAME

pettard was clearly BOG.

Since we're still accepting nominations.......

Second quarter, just before a bounce. It was like a little kid pushing over a tortoise. Very funny.

Interesting. I reckon the two coaches may have seen it something like this:

Bailey:

Petterd 5

Beams 4

Jamar 3

Grimes 2

Pendlebury 1

Malthouse:

Jamar 5

Petterd 4

Davey 3

Moloney 2

Grimes 1

Point is I don't think Malthouse gave the Pies any votes. Could be wrong. But it is another hunch. ;)

Good assessment.

MM would be ropable.

DB would have recognised that Beams and Pendlebury were the two midfield thorns for MFC.

Yep, in the paper today it says that Malthouse didn't give any Pies players votes. So this would be very close to the actual.

6 Petterd

5 Jamar

4 James McDonald

3 Davey

2 Grimes

1 McKenzie

6 jamar

5 grimes

4 bail

3 dunn

2 mckenzie

1 petterd only doing his job up foward

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
