  1. How do you think Sylvia would go against Ablett in a one on one duel? Is it worth a go.
  2. Yes he is in our best 22, tho, horses for courses should apply.
  3. Forget about rookie listing him, pick him up with one of our first 2 draft picks. We need a new Whelan.
  4. I just want to express my appreciation over the decisions and actions made by the MFC. First of all, the decision by the MFC heirarchy to move a home game to Darwin was a great tactical, financial and even humanitarian move; - We made a decent profit off the game instead of a probable loss. - We gave our players a new experience and injected a breath of fresh air into our season. - We strengthened our relationship with our indiginous players by re-affirming our wholesome desire to connect with their families, their communities and really try to accnowledge the great importance of the indiginous culture to this indiginous game and our club. - Thru the efforts of Stynes, Schwab, Davey, Jurrah and Co, we are creating a compassionate club by donating time and money to peoples that need help. - By really connecting with the indiginous peoples, we not only strengthen our connection to this land and to our game, we also strengthen our spirit. The decisions of our coaching staff were very astute. - Playing all 4 available indiginous players for this unique game in Darwin during Dreamtime Round, showed that we value their character and culture and we really believe in them as people and players. It also gave our playing group an injection of spirit and excitement. All players played well. - Leaving Spenser out of the side and letting Sylvia compete in the ruck, I believe is a master-stroke. It really gave Sylvia a challenge in which he stood up with flying colors. - Leaving Warnock (a gun) out of the side and bringing in McDonald, was a good move, It should be done on a regular basis and only play warnock if we need him for a particular 'monster' forward. Otherwise, speed in the backline is more important. - Miller playing at full forward was a good move. - Davey as captain and given more time in the middle. And a special well done to the players who performed like the Demons they are. Now the new challenge must be to make the finals. Firstly by licking the cats at the cattery. Carn the mighty Demons!!!!!!
  5. Outs - Moloney - Garland Give Bruce another weeks rest Ins - Bate - Warnock ps, Anyone who thinks Jetta should be dropped should pack up their bags and start following another code. maybe lawn bowls
  6. The club did it well. They played Wona, they played Jetta and they put Sylvia in the midfield/ruck. Well done Now they can treat Wona like a person, rather than a footballer and let him have a week with his family.
  7. IN- BATE, WARNOCK OUT- MCKENZIE, GARLAND
  8. Mate, you forgot Jetta. You can't forget Jetta. Jetta is one of the boys, the biggest 'goer' of the lot.
  9. I feel that Jetta will get the nod over Spenser. Jamar loves it tough, He relishes being the No1 ruckman. Jetta is a young ripper. He can taste battle.
  10. Beamer and Jones are guns. I love em. Remember Jones is only 22.
  11. ok, lets throw out all our fairness and decency. Lets just write a bloke off who is in our leadership group, who got BOG in a final against Freo, who trains really hard and keeps putting in good perfaormances at Casey. Yeah, lets just write him off becuase we have a bone to pick. [censored]. Good on ya Miller, hope you kick some arse. Stick up for Watts and let the bro's tear it up. We need you back in the team.
  12. Gysberts has done very well, lets give him a well earned week off and a big pat on the back. Young bodies need rest Miller deserves another chance with the Dees. He is in the leadership group. I reckon we need him at full forward. Can be a real goer. Dunn should play, he gets alot of the ball, throws his weight around and can relieve Jamar in the ruck Johnson did not make the most of his opportunity Hughes does not show enough to stay in the side I would elavate Jetta and Wonamirri to our forward line. I think our best opportunity of victory is bringing up the aboriginal brigade to create some real Darwin excitement. The boys will be chapping at the bit to play in AllStars territory. Ins- Wona, Jetta, Miller, Dunn Outs- Bruce inj. Bate inj. Johnson Hughes After watching the Blues carve up the saints with their young indiginous forwards, there is no reason that we can't do the same but with Wona and Jetta, we will have alot more intensity and bravado.
  13. Imagine Jurrah at full forward, surrounded by his bro's and Watts at CHF. I WOULD FLY TO DARWIN TO SEE THAT!!!!!!!
  14. Why not consider the following forward line for Darwin; ff- Wona Miller Jetta hf- Davey Watts Bennell Green and Sylvia on the wing. Now that would be exciting footy.
  15. I wonder if he will crack the sads if he gets dropped.
  16. I have been a fan of Colin Sylvia ever since he came to the club. The man could be the complete footballer if he wanted to. He is powerful, he is able to win clearances by breaking packs and charging through the congestion. He is a ferocious tackler and is able to hunt opponents down. He is a terrific mark, fantastic leap, strong hands, good on a lead with great timing. A Huge pack mark. He can kick big goals, long bombs from outside fifty or over the shoulder snaps. He has great skills, hand and foot, can evade, can run, can carry and pin-point passes. When he has the ball, he has footy smarts, usually gives it to the best option. And he has the charisma to will the team to victory. He can be genuinely exciting. He is the complete package. in summary; He is a beast like Todd Viney He is mecurial and exciting like Allan Jakovich He can take pack marks like David Schwarz He can impose his strength like Stephen Tingay If only he had the desire of James McDonald. To be honest, he is on the verge of being dropped.
  17. What happens if Stynes and Co. say to the players, we will look after you, your pay will be as high as we can afford, lets keep this bunch of boys together and win premierships because the greatest satisfaction one can get from life is human relations and the ability to create things. By the way, MFC is the greatest and oldest club in the land who happens to be born out of the greatest stadium in the world and wears the most beautiful colors in the world and resides in the most magnificent city in the world. Greed just might kill your dreams. Look at McLean and Ball, their names are mud.
  18. Bartram is a goer, but needs more composure. Composure leads to footy smarts. Rivers is a good example of a backman with footy smarts. Brett Lovett was the smartest backman I have seen, he was slow but he rarely got caught. His composure was incredible.
  19. Mercenaries are welcome to leave, No matter who they are. I would rather follow die hard players than money grabbing vultures. The only players that will leave MFC are the ones that are not getting a game or players that wish to go back to their home state. I think a chat by Jimi Stynes will keep the group together. ps. Mclean is a dog
  20. mate, I reckon he could be the one, Jetta or McKenzie. Hard as [censored], smart aswell.
