thanks, cam, but the coaches are redleg and WJ...

(I have never done it - no talent)...

sainters have now agreed to the 4-way round robin, but I can't confirm the pies yet because I have not yet been able to talk to them on the phone...

will keep trying...

and we may have venue problems...

cheers,

rollo

in spite of the lack of anyone formally or informally appointing themselves as "the organiser" from the pies perspective, they will be wherever they need to be on the date specified. we're looking into when the resurfacing at vic park is to be done. there may still be a slim chance the games can be held there.

am doing my best to help you out.

Gidday guys,

Sorry for delayed response on my part.

Good new concept. Looking forward to it from our end, reply might be low in posts, will get our numbers though, our regulars are yet to emerge but will.

I'm into adding my fat porky talents to the occasion.

welcome, mercardo...

still confused about what's happening on november 8...

but it's definitely happening, whatever it is...

I will post a game thread early next week, but it will be a bit like the ones on saintsational and talkingcarlton until we can get some sense out of the pies... <_<

rollo

Could make a comment about trying to get some sense out of the Pies but will leave that one alone:-P

Would love to play again, so put me down, can bring out my jumper with the number 40 on it for another run

Am hardly walking at the moment, so that be a no unfortunately.

But I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who is umm-ing and ah-ing

Im in rollo, and I just might play more than the first half this year!

Any chance we can avoid having to play the carlton side?? Would be nice to have a bit of competition - all they could come up with last year were blokes who'd seen too many summers and a few kids who'd seen too few..

Ballarat, The home of Frawley.

Maybe not

Ahh bugger, got a wedding to go to... Up in cairns

Well this is a real shame...

i would of dominated the midfield...

Don’t want to be a wet blanket…

But we have no venue…

And the pies have no organiser the other teams can speak to…

At this stage, I doubt this thing can happen…

I have asked the blues and saints organisers to ring me, and am waiting to hear…

Regards,

rollo…

my despairing post has finally fired-up the pies...

we now have a bloke we can talk to, they may agree to play at gosch's paddock (which will have goal posts by game day), and they are still hoping vic park may be available...

still too early to post a game thread IMO, but will (hopefully) be able to do so soon...

regards,

rollo

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
