i orginally signed up to demonland land many years ago when helping to organise intra-forum matches. i don't think i have logged in for many years. i just want to congratulate the dees on saturday's win. i was so thrilled for my demon supporting friends who - without exception - seemed to suffer the fear of failure syndrome i used to experience until collingwood won its breakthrough flag. i watched many a melbourne game in the 80s with an old friend and adored robbie flower amongst others. he was a non-collingwood favourite. anyway, enjoy the spoils of victory. this game means so much to so many. fwiw, i have watched the replay four times. the last quarter and a half was a clinic.

in spite of the lack of anyone formally or informally appointing themselves as "the organiser" from the pies perspective, they will be wherever they need to be on the date specified. we're looking into when the resurfacing at vic park is to be done. there may still be a slim chance the games can be held there. am doing my best to help you out.

you'd think we were trying to stitch together the fev deal. i'll try to fire up the collingwood mob. i don't get too involved cos i ain't in melbourne anymore but i think it's just a matter of confirming a date, time and venue and our chaps will be there. though, don't forget some of them have to arrange "day passes".

on behalf of the 'rabble' at nick's i'm happy to say they are keen to get involved in a four way. i don't believe we've played you guys yet.

it's good to get a different perspective on things and see how other supporters view their club, what their issues and concerns are.

i'm not a melbourne supporter but i suggest you keep the faith. it can take a good 3-5 years to develop a list. there will be pain with your current list but on the odd occasion the team has strung it together they've looked more than capable. besides, with the compromised draft things aren't going to change too much. i don't think any other coach is going to come in and have immediate success. bailey is the man for your times.

it's just not in the movies that casinos have face recognition software. how do you think they police exclusion orders? i hope the alleged offenders, if found guily, get their right whack. anyway, i hope mr jones is doing ok and his son is not too traumatised by the whole affair.
