martin maybe to go forward

yep, cheers- i be one of those without fox..

any more news on j watts??

Im watching the GameDay live thing on the AFL website, is it true Robbo takes a contested mark in the goal square, decides to play on and fails to score...?

Disappointed with Maric missing a set shot, he's better than that

no news on watts .. i havent heard a thing on fox sports or fox news...

What's wrong with applying a bit of pressure on the opposition forwards the way they do to us?

roberston played on whilst lying on the floor... and ball was smothered by a man who wasnt on the mark (sholuld this be 50m penalty)? robos fault anyway

melb are playin terrible ... umpires not helping hands in the back not being paid at all...

sylvia maybe melbournes best

Agree with that. If every player in the team played with Sylvia's intensity today we would be right in this game.

Why did Robbo try to kick a certain goal while he was laying on his back? What was he thinking?

Trying to get himself on the highlight real. Not a good example for thew young kids.

Sylvia seems to be having a good game.Lets just hope he doesn't think he can have a 4 game rest after this.

Sylvia running hard, 20 touches at half time.

Running hotter now with three goals in a row.

One of our major problems is our rucks. We're hopeless there and need the Russian back asap.

I know people will find a way to put him down but its so exciting when sylvia is up and going

Paul Johnson is having a decent game though. But yes our ruck division is a bit rough.

Result means nothing today.

hope this can be a turning point for Sylvia and we start seeing this potential on a little more regular basis. He has a great opportunity to lead a young and up coming team if he wants it. I would love to see it.

37 possessions, 9 marks, 2 tackles, 2 hit outs, 4 goals, 1 behind... What an awesome game.

We finished off the game well. Another week and im very pleased AGAIN. Picks 4 sure

Best players.

Sylvia 24 kicks, 13 handballs, 4 goals and 7 inside 50's

Johnson 11 kicks, 10 handballs, 25 hitouts and 1 goal

Green played great, 30 disposals

ABC radio gave big raps on melbourne.

Another 'honorable loss' aka 'the perfect result'...

The last 3 or 4 weeks have been PERFECT RESULTS

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
