Stephen, 27 years and live in Eastern suburbs & getting married (to a St. Kilda supporter) in November which is exciting.

Work with Department of Justice in the Magistrates' Court and been a Melbourne supporter for my whole life apart from a brief 6 season stint from 1992 - 1997 when my Grandad brainwashed me into going for Carlton sorry to all, but I eventually saw the light.

Been a member every year since 2001 and am really excited about the direction the club is heading.

Favourite memory was the 98 finals series when Melbourne smashed Adelaide & St. Kidal the previous years Grand Finalists.

Favourite Players: Rivers, Grimes, Jurrah

Hey,

Just joined up. I'm 24, been supporting the Dees ever since I was born. Family tradition. Been a member the last 4 years straight, though my dad had me signed up all the way till I was 18 and then got lazy for a couple years to do myself. I'm a very committed supporter, and play football passionately ever since I was 8yrs old (Eastern Football League, and currently playing in Southern Football League). I'm also involved in athletics. I try to go to as many Melbourne games as possible, although Saturday's got me out as I play footy myself then.

My most memorable games I've attended are Melb v Carlton qtr Final in 1999 & the big comeback against fremantle couple years ago.

Sylvia is my fav player as I like the way he goes in hard.

Cheers

Over 60 Dees tragic who after lurking these pages for a long time signed up to join the chorus after Thursday's woe. I hope someone from the club reads these threads and realizes it is hard to keep coughing up the membership when people ask who you support and it takes a full phrase to reply : long suffering demon supporter.

Hello everyone. I hate the Greens and left wing flogs.

Nice to meet you.

Hi I'm Dan

I like martial arts, cross stitch, long walks on the beach and cruising the local discoteque.

I'm sure you're pleased to meet me.

Hi there. My name is Chrissie and I am a music photographer. I have been lurking on this board for a little while and only recently starting posting. I started following Melbourne in 1994 as I was dating a Melbourne supporter. I'm a pretty passionate Dees supporter. I go to the games every week with a few other Melbourne supporters. I sit in the Melbourne reserved area. I am also very optimistic and I think we will see a flag in the next 5 years. I'm single. I'd like to meet fellow Melbourne supporters.

Hi I'm Robbie

I don't believe you, no one could love (or even like) Julia.

As for Carbon Dioxide Bob, you and Julia expel more than any factory or power plant, so can we tax you both out of existence?

Ask Malcolm Turnbull- the next Liberal leader .

Nah, he has zero chance of leading the Libs, Jackster. The only people that like him are left leaning Labor flogs. Last time Turnbull was the leader Labor led the two party preferred vote 54-46. Without him as leader the polls are the complete reverse, which isn't a great endorsement for Turnbull.

Get my drift ?

He'd stand more of a chance of leading the Labor Party; someone has to and the job's free at the moment.

Hey there fellow demonlanders my name is Dajana- or Dianne in English. My friends call me Dee, it is quite fitting as I love the Dees so.

Came over to Australia from Croatia with my old man at the tender age of 2- so I'm dinky die Aussie! Follow the Demons because Melbourne is the city we settled in.

I am 5'11, lanky and a dead ringer for Rosie Huntington, I am a total klutz and one of the biggest social retards you'll will ever hope to meet (hence my presence here). I would describe myself a tom boy (had no female influences as my mother left after I was born) I speak my mind and I find it hard to trust people.

Waiting for our next flag I am very optimistic. Hoping for it to come soon so I have a legitimate excuse to get a tattoo. Oh and the glory that comes with being number one and hopefully shaking that range rover snow [censored] tag would be nice too! :)

G'day guys, I post a fair bit on BigFooty but am in an exams period and found the temptation to stray from Demons talk too hard to resist. The board there, aside from the Dees board, is obviously rubbish - so I'm looking forward to contributing here until my final exam and beyond!

I was born supporting the Mighty Blue and Red although the team was West Perth and not Melbourne.

Was a WCE support up until 1999 when I turned to the light and became a Dees supporter due to my hatred of the host club system in the WAFL which cost West Perth a Flag.

Became a member of the MFC last year due to my frustration with its lack of on field success but wanted to show my support to the Club.

Joined Demonland after the lost to the Suns this year as I wanted major change in the Club from the Senior Coach to Board Members. Things are looking really good on that front for the 2014 season as finally we are recruiting people who can do the job that is needed.

I live in country WA so don't know too many other Demon supporters and can not wait for the Clubs 13th Flag.

Go the Dees!

Morning all,

Just signed up this morning after abandoning the sinking ship of Demonology. Don't hold that against me though, I was never one for the in-jokes and in-fighting that plagued that site.

G'day all. I've posted a couple of times but I thought I better say a quick Hello. I'm an iinterstate member currently residing in S.A., but grew up in NSW. Being from NSW, I spent the early years of my life following the neanderthal game, until one day in 2002 I went to see Nth Melbourne play the Crows at a match in Canberra. From that day onwards I fell in love with AFL. Didn't want to blindly follow my Crow supporting mates, and being the massive horror fan I am, thought the Demons were a natural fit. For the next few years I guess I was a casual observer, until a match in early 2006 when we played the Crows, and my passion found a spark.I started watching more and more games on TV and as time went on I decided that I wanted to help the club in any way, shape or form and figured the best way for me to do that was to become a member. Since then have floated around the edges of the various Facebook groups and Twitter, and that has now led me here. Look forward to chatting to you all (even if I don't post a real lot).

well ive finally made an account.
I used to have one 4 years ago, lost the account (laziness) and just been reading religiously since.

I live in Ballarat, age 21, I'm overly competitive and enjoy squash.

Parents do not follow footy (or any sport at all really) so i started supporting them a little later. I picked a side at the start of the 2000 final and never looked away from the dee's.

I look forward to posting regularly.

Welcome back Hompy.

Nothing like a bit of aggression on the squash court.

Must say I haven't played that game for years.

nothing like running into walls for the sake of winning.

I only play with my friends at the local university. No supervision either, so we don't play with any protection (oh the bruises).

Things can change quickly...

You're now 30, 2 of your 3 favourite players are gone, and you were "really excited about the direction the club is heading". It headed for the kind of disaster rarely seen in sport.

But who can blame you ? Most are optimists at heart.

I am I missing something here Ben? What made you resurrect this post from 2010? ( that is apart from the obvious contradiction that I've " been a Melbourne supporter for my whole life apart from a brief 6 season stint from 1992 - 1997" ?

There are mysteries here,I'll have to get onto these forums more often.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom
