i agree Yze magic!! wow..didn't think i'd say that

Varcoe, Corey- yes corey- overrated player who gets no attention due to selwood, ablett and bartel being superior- still alright but green better, Lonergan, Harry Taylor, Blake, Enright, Josh Hunt, James Kelly, and maybe Max Rooke

Corey? you serious?? Corey is Nigel Lappin Mk II

Yes- you heard me give my explanation. green could rack up 28+ possessions running free like corey dos when other teams focus on ablett bartel and selwood- teams only have 1 maybe 2 max taggers, and even then ling takes one of their better players

Cannot believe Greeny would walk out on us! He has plenty of footy left in him, and I would have thought the red and blue was the place for him.

Has been one of my Favourite MFC of recent times, and I wish him the best if he goes. That said, if i meet him in a bar, drinks will not be on me. That honor is reserved for those who bleed red and blue!

See ya greeny, thanks for the good times........I hope your replacement is as good if not slightly better.

I think the trading of Green would be a win/win for him and the MFC!

MFC is rebuilding and want draft picks for this so important draft. Green will get us a reasonable pick and give us that much more space in the salary cap.

Green is playing good football and could help a team in the window of contending for a premiership. Why at his age would'nt he want that? He could get a similiar contract we have offered and have that chance of a premiership before his career is out.

Thanks Greeny and best wishes! Would like to see you go to Port! Obviousley they think there Premiership window is still open.

But I predict a big play by Collingwood by the end of the week!

Definitely! I want him packaged in a deal to Port for Pick 4! They have interest in him! I believe we would have to partner him with either a Davey, Rivers or Bate though.

I would be happy with any of those though preferably in that order mentioned! We have to be realistic if we want Pick 4.

I think Port would go for it!

You can all call me crazy! Because I know i am going to cop it!

Cos he's still trying to see which clubs want him enough to satisfy our demands, so that he can make a decision.. sydney & hawthorn, etc. may be interested, but it might be cos they think they can get him at a cut price

also, they've gotta be willing to pay what he wants.

I'm tipping a decision by tomorrow.

I'm tipping a three-way deal here. More than likely I will be wrong :o:lol: . But I will go out on a limb and take a 'speculative' stab at it: -

O'Keefe to Hawthorn

Green to Sydney and Melbourne's third round pick (35)

Hawks first round draft pick (16) to Melbourne, and second round pick (34?) to Sydney

I'll await the critics..... ;)

Feel free to comment, is it a win-win-win?

edit: In the above deal Sydney may appear short changed, in getting Green and two 3rd round picks. So it might need the Hawks to trade Tim Boyle beforehand. ie A 2nd round pick for Boyle, on forward this pick to Sydney along with Melb's 3rd round pick and Green.

edit, edit: Forget it, Roos has stated he wants a 1st round pick.

I don't mind the look of that trade HT. I think its a real win for us getting pick 16 for Green. Time will tell i guess

Posted

Hawthorn get:

O'Keefe and Melbourne third round pick

Hawthorn lose:

First round pick and Boyle

Sydney get:

Green, Boyle and Wheatley

Sydney lose:

OKeefe and Second round pick

Melbourne get:

Hawthorn's first rounder and Sydney's second round pick

Melbourne lose:

Green, Wheatley and Third round pick

Thoughts?

Ok. For starters there is no chance in hell Green will get us a premiership player and one accoring to Neil Balme was a certainty to play this years grand final. Green wouldn't even fetch us Stokes himself.

Ahah.

Thoughts?

At least in that proposed trade, one side isn't getting blatantly ripped off.

That automatically puts it in the top 10 trade proposals I've ever read on here.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
