good little article.

jeez i reckon lookin at one of the pics there wheels would go pretty hard at it u would reckon! i would hate to try and box with him!

good work though by beamer and wheels just show how much leadership they have!

Valenti and wheel defiantly hold their arms in the right position when throwing a punch.

Definately Defiantly!

Wonder how their footwork is.

You'd suspect most AFL guys could handle themselves pretty well because they do a far bit of boxing to improve their cardio

spike cheney looks like a tuff red nut

can't wait til him and Bate are in the same team we will have match sticks at two ends

Great article and great concept.

Just out of interest, is this how Cheney broke his hand or did it happen at training?

I believe it happened against a Werribee opponents head.

Thanks for link. Great story. Can`t pinpoint it but quietly getting excited about the future of the M.F.C.

My sentiments exactly, its strange, but a great feeling!

Excellent and Innovative idea.

All part of the young boys development. Looking at the group shot, I think there is really cause for optimism. The future is bright for the MFC.

I wonder which lucky bugger got Morton as a sparring partner.

It would unlucky for Cale. If Wheels decided to take his light frame.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
