i think people are forgetting wat brock mclean did yesterday hurt his ankle badly and should have just stayed out for the game but no brock showed courage and guts to come back on for his teamates and twise i saw him dive full tilt into a pack on one leg that he shouldn't have!

if that kinda act doesn't inspire u i dont kno wat does!

brock or greeny for captain!

Those type of players dont come around too often he bleeds red and blue, has been clearly in the top 2 or 3 all year, clearly was not right to go on again didnt move well at all. aslo went to Rich V Carlton game and sat next to the bench and saw richo come of injured firstly was in doubt to start then see him try even though he knew his hammy wasnt good and was swearn his head of.

Bet Brocky felt so frustrated he was injured and could be out there doin his thing, on a positive note atleast the bye will give him well deserved rest

He couldn't walk after the game. If you watch the replay of the last quarter you can see him after the siren limping very badly.

I thought it was fantastic that he willed himself to get back on the ground, and even though he was in obvious pain he still put himself in the contest and threw his body around the packs. A sign of someone who desperately wants to help out his teammates.

Since I sit near the bench, I could see him talking to the physio as he was testing his ankle on the boundary line and he was desperate to come back on the ground even before half time.

Bailey highlighted this in his press conference, and that he was injured before the game but said there was no way he was going to miss, gotta love the chooka!

Who is forgetting? He's inspirational. The next gun leader.

I read somewhere that it wasn't just that he willed himself back on, but Bailey said that at Half-time he demanded to come back on

His game was unbelievable. He came back on, was hobbling like an old grandma, and I thought "here we go, he's not going to get a touch." But he picked up as much of the ball as ever, in the same ways as ever... He may not have gotte smashed in tackles as much as usual in the last, but you'd forgive him that. He was still clearing the ball out of the guts too...

Wow. What more can you ask? Inspiration, courage, determination, skill... I hope Bailey got the message loud and clear. Brock will be a force to be reckoned with if the coach allows him to be.

If I was a new coach I'd be searching madly for a James Hird/Michael Voss type that can win games for me and make me look good. Brock may not be up there with those guys, but players will follow him.

Brock is a courageous fella. Always gives 100% and works so hard to find the footy as much as he does.

He's got a big future with the MFC.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
