45HG 1,559 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Shouldn't be too hard - a match yesterday at the Adelaide oval Quote
WonnaJurah 5 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 what is happening with the 20 20 match today? QLD 4/110 (9 overs) NSW 7/53 (8 Overs) only get score updates Quote
H_T 3,049 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 what is happening with the 20 20 match today? QLD 4/110 (9 overs) NSW 7/53 (8 Overs) only get score updates NSW - Homebush interrupted by rain again *sigh* - typical Sydney weather. Reduced overs, looks as though the Bulls have done it easy. The Redbacks are already in the final, and it will more than likely the Bulls or Warriors for the Prelim. Quote
45HG 1,559 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 How do you figure that HT? Doesn't a win get us into the prelim? Quote
H_T 3,049 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) How do you figure that HT? Doesn't a win get us into the prelim? We need a BIG win over Tassie. We have a very poor Net Run rate thanks to the big loss at the hands of SA. That's why I stated "more than likely". It's possible, but we need a massive win on Friday. edit: also the Warriors and Bulls play each other so who ever losses and Vics win it will come down to run rate. Vics are well into the negative though. Edited January 13, 2010 by High Tower Quote

H_T 3,049 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 VICS still a minor chance Put it this way, a win over tassie like SA had over the Vics will give us a chance for the Prelim. Quote
45HG 1,559 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 It'd put us on 6 points - two clear of the loser Quote
WonnaJurah 5 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 we want qld to win saturday, smaller run rate then wa Quote
H_T 3,049 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) Apologies...I thought I saw on table on fox cricket after the match, both warriors & bulls on 6 points, so I gather they've both had 2 wins - as the Vics have. We have to win then. edit: Saw the table again since. They are both on 4 points with Vics on 4 points, confirming that the Vics are a better chance than I first thought. Must have been hallucinating. H_T 3,049 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 2/52 with both Aussie openers out after winning the toss and batting. Why is Clarke coming in after M. Hussey ? Strange. Quote

Rhino Richards 1,467 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 I was being sarcastic over the Melb test when he squibbed the final overs on day 1 of a Test match. His alleged fiancee *cough* can look after the Aston Martin. Its not good having a bingle around such a fine car. Quote

I suppose we could forgive her, being blonde and all.. Quote

Or if she had allowed someone access to the keys.......... Hmmm On a better topic, Punter gets a ton and the owner of the Top Gear Toy is getting close. 3/226 of 61 overs. Pitch is a belter. We need to bowl well to get 20 wickets. Quote
45HG 1,559 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Or Pakistan need to bat like...Pakistan Quote

It's about time Punter got a double century. edit: - 8 runs from the 200 partnership. Edited January 14, 2010 by High Tower Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,458 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Good to see Punter sent his Baggy Green in for a Service Like a classic old car it needed some TLC! Quote
45HG 1,559 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 (edited) England win the toss and chose to bat only to be humbled by Morkel and Steyn, with the latter taking 5-51, for 180. Steyn now has a five-for against all test playing nations. Strauss becomes the first Englishman to go first ball in a test for 73 years! Edited January 14, 2010 by 45HG16 Quote
