  1. Played cricket there a few times against East Box Hill CC if I remember correctly BBO. The ground surface had more silt than grass sometimes. I grew up in the area and can remember when the flood retarding basin was built in the mid 60's.
  2. DC not sure I want to know about the monster! Where abouts in BoxHill South is your son? Which street? I remember most of them as I used to sought mail at the Box Hill Post Office pre Christmas when I was very young on school holidays. This may come as s shock I grew up in that humble working class suburb before I later was informed that I was related to a long lost member of the British aristocracy and became the towering figure I am today.
  3. BJ do you mean Box Hill? And was the cover band still playing the Dobbie Brothers?
  4. Absolute Shyte day at the club, I have had enough. Can't we talk about bananas for a change? By the way the cluster of banana trees next door to my beach shack down on the Surf Coast is coming along nicely. The old guy owner has no idea who much they are worth. Could be a big harvest coming up. Of course I have offered to manage the whole process for him. I can make better use of the proceeds.
  5. What are they?
  6. Oh for heavens sake don't give DeeFrog another opening to talk about bananas!
  7. DC I think the above discussion was worthwhile for people like me to get a good idea of the vastness of Borewood, I still have a query about where Jordanville fits in though. However I now have a better appreciation of the environment that influenced your sometimes warped perspective of the world. I think it would be worthwhile to now get a feel for BBO's environment and what makes him tick. What are the key characteristics of the environment of Lancefield South where he lives?
  8. DC that is why I asked the question. What are the boundaries? It seems now that it is the Burvale to the east, the Matthew Flinders to the south, the Tower to the west? what is to the north then, The Doncaster? Gee how big is Borewood?
  9. DC what are the boundaries of Borewood? The Burvale to the east, the Mathew Flinders to the west? In the middle is your dry, God fearing Methodists or Salvation Army types holding back the tide.
  10. Ah yes BBO I had forgotten about our Leo with the long blonde hair and broken nose, the bouncer of bouncers. Even though he had taken one too many punches to the head in TV Ringside he was still the local intellectual in Borewood in those days. Never took him on but I can remember one night we could have used his help in the car park when some drunken thugs turned nasty. Dangerous place Borewood!
  11. DC don't knock having a purve at the Burve (ale) I mean. Although maybe things have changed since I was last there in the 70's and early 80's? Gee I can remember some big days at the Burvale, rocking up for a counter lunch, hanging around for a few drinks and ending up buying supper tickets to hang out till midnight, listening to some cover band that usually played Doobie Brothers. And then driving home or to someone else's home for goodness sake! Those were the so called good old days, just wonder how I am still going around sometimes, really!
  12. Biff could do well in Borewood, there is a surfeit of women I am told around those parts and he could catch up regularly with DC down at the Matthew Flinders or even the Nottinghill if they want to hobnob with the Uni Students.
  13. DC are you boasting about or bursting with the over supply of women out your way? There is something not quite right about the wording but gee good luck down at the Matthew Flinders, plenty of likely types down there as I remember.
  14. Spelling issues BBO (there, their, they are)! We must maintain our standards in these dark times when the natural order is under siege from all fronts. If we can't do that, all is lost surely.
  15. DFrog what is it about you and bananas no matter how they are presented?
  16. HT where has Max Gawn? Or is that what he looks like these days?
  17. Mydee that is damned poor form. Leave you details with my man as I still have contacts at Whitehall, I can still pull a few strings!
  18. Yeah he wasn't bad but there was always something a bit artificial about him, a bit like me actually!
  19. BBO from the film reviews I have heard there is only one version, that is there ain't no dialogue
  20. HT have you morphed into Max HHHHeadroom?
  21. DF there was a time, when attending MFC home games and watching from the comfort of the second level of the Members Stand, I would have agreed with your comment but since joining Demonland that illusion has been well and truly shattered. How can I say this politely I have come to appreciate that MFC supporters form a very broad church where not all are as couth as others.
  22. Thanks for that Macca.
  23. No not Buckingham Palace, Frogmore House actually. I am not one to get above my station! I just wish others understood theirs.
  24. HERB ALPERT - BEYOND (Completo) [HD & HQ] Help Macca. Give up I only have an IPad. I tried to upload a Herb Alpert YouTube of his later work in the 80's called Beyond. I was trawling through some music and stumbled on Herb and remembered I had a couple of tapes from the 80s of his later work. I really liked him back then and revisiting it now, I still like it.
  25. I did rent out the Bentley to a Mr Hammond last year for tax purposes while I was visiting the old country. I believe he did tour up north while I was away. It did come back somewhat the worse for wear now you mention it.
