  1. Would love to see you express that load of insulting horse pooh to his face.
  2. Interesting concept - so that deal stays outside the cap..........
  3. How can you not love Stewie - if only he played for the Dees!
  4. It's difficult to be mad and gay at the same time...... He's mad! He's mad. He's madder than Mad Jack McMad, the winner of this year's Mr Madman competition. ... Blackadder
  5. yeah - but then would that count as his, for example, week off?? what are the rules
  6. Not to mention a grandstand seat for the first one or two games next season.
  7. At least he can't loose his hair or go prematurely grey from the stress of coaching.....
  8. Not good riddance - thanks Byron and all the best for the future, sorry to see you go. Unfortunately I can see some balooning may result ala Derek Kickett. I enjoyed your games in the red and blue when it was on, I loved it when the opposition fumbled the ball because they thought you were nearby, your footsteps must have sounded deafening. Enjoy your last AFL game!!
  9. Well said - I admire the passion of everyone on this forum, but cringe at some of the asolute statements expressed about this or that candidate. The only informed desicion is the one by the club, everything else is speculation.
  10. ....because he is a renown nudist?
  11. I wonder who else besides Brown and Biz are playing their last games in the Red and Blue???
  12. The quality and health of the experienced players out on the park with the 06 boys compared to the 07 was also much different - surely that played a huge differenece on the stats. Must be hard to look good in your first year when the team itself is looking so bad?
  13. Look, throw him in Albert Park Lake, if he floats then he should be burnt at the stake, if he sinks then he's ok... if he just stands up you didn't throw him far enough.
  14. Yeah I do know what you mean, we have had them - just not at the mo. What do they call them? The "Marquee player"
  15. I'm with you. If he can bring that state of mind with him next year and keep knuckled under from now until the 2008 bounce then I'd be happy to see him in red and blue again. He looks like he was enjoying being out there and that may well have been a major part of the problem ere.
  16. So Barassi, Flower, Lyon, and all the other names that don't spring to mind are ???? Its just we havn't had one for a while I guess, but don't forget the drafting penalties imposed by Diamond Joe coming clean to the AFL. We are still seeing the fallout on that.
  17. I hear you - as I've been telling my family for some time now before each game for the past couple of weeks, I hope Melbourne don't win. I don't think however, the players are trying to do anything else but play their best and recall hearing a few who do understand the football culture from within saying the same. (and I do not think that is what you were saying in your post either) Players don't tank - especially if playing for thier position! So it may well be a good contest. Of course doesn't stop the administration making the call on players or their playing position, but that would be a gutsy thing to orgasnise and even more so to verbalise given the scrutiny of AFL administration on this. Friday night will be fascinating!
  18. "If Hawthorn make the Finals I will cut off my left nut and mail it to you." I say - I'll have the other nut now please!
  19. Also now on the AFL website. http://afl.com.au/Season2007/News/NewsArti...px?newsId=49190 You'd have to imagine he has been given a fairly strong indication of his likely success at Carlton. Shame, but pleney more fish!
  20. Any thoughts about trying to fit in as an oversized kid????
  21. So you get upset because a career coach, who has kept his head down since resigning, who up till now refused to comment to media about applying for jobs finally admitted he would be applying for a vacant position at club he once played for? I do agree with most that he appears to not be the one we want. But I also have to trust the 'process' will choose the best available who presents. Not much point in getting wound up.
  22. Reckon you nailed it right there - I also recall Williams saying they will be looking to qualify a few more of the Melboune players to enable them to play finals.
  23. I'd be happy with Ratten - how about with Kouta as asssistant?
  24. I know you were being funny, but I wonder who'll succeed out of Kouta, Voss, Buckley or Hird as coaches?
