PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 4th February 2026
Excellent to hear. It was me. And that's because he was told at the end of last year he was not in afl condition or meeting the requirements (at his exit interview). He was not fit in 24 or 25 - largely due to interupted pre-seasons - but he was definitely not athletic. So this is excellent to read/hear. As someone pointed out, he had great athletic traits and testing in his draft year. Time to put it all together.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 28th January 2026
Absolutely. But I wasn't talking about his draft numbers - I was talking about his training/match performances in 2024 and 2025. Fingers crossed he does get a good run at it (pardon the pun) and can lift to AFL level. I know he was told something similar in his exit interview as my mother in law sponsors him.

Daniel Nicholson used to train the house down...how did his career go? Could list you plenty of ordinary footballers who trained well. I'm not saying Kolt is ordinary/will be, but his AFL career to date he has been underwhelming. I hope he has a big season but my gut says he won't given has had one pre-season in 3 years.

Funnily enough, I do! And last time I checked, training didn't mean much - games is what counts.

Don't disagree with this, but he is nowhere near fit enough to execute a role at AFL level. Jury out until we see some athletic traits.

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
Agree. Don't forget this is expected to come in a fraction after academy/FS picks

2026 AFL Fixture
We should get a favourable draw given we finished in the bottom 6.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
If this is the case, then we need to trade both 7 and 8 to get a top 4 pick. Very simple. Or, we trade them for F1 if next year's is better

When are we expected to learn more about this? Seems a tricky one for the young lad...

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
this is what I don't get - since when did they change the rules that you could not trade picks up until draft night? We've also had 1st round picks so it's not like we are forced to use them because we've traded previous years' ones away.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Do we trade 7 and 8 to try get higher or take the two players (which end up being pick 10/11 or 11/12)? Seems like the rest of our picks will be for White, Sinemma and rookie upgrades

Bailey Humphrey
Sorry - can anyone confirm when they changed the rules on trading draft picks up until draft night? Lamb just got asked whether we'd be trading picks 7 and 8 and he said "well we can't now"?

Pick swapping about to go through for petracca with suns. BH not involved.

It's time to move forward. We're probably 12-24 months too late but it's time

This is brilliant - this is a huge dig at the Suns. He wants out!

I think you'll find that the reason the trade has not happened yet, is because a trade hasn't been agreed to. So trac can sook all he wants, but if the GC offer isn't commensurate, the deal ain't happening. This is from a very reliable source and I have full faith that the club will stick to their word- Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Are you serious? If a trade isn't done, he's at Melbourne. We have the upper hand.- 2025 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin
Is he out of contract? Amazed he hasn't been delisted or re-signed- Bailey Humphrey
Yes but like Merrett, another year older and value goes down while BH value possibly goes up- Bailey Humphrey
not at all - they've got other picks and they can split one or both of these to accrue even more points. AND they get Petracca- Bailey Humphrey
The funny thing about all this: Suns could easily end up with picks 7, 8 and Petracca. Which, despite trajectory possibilities for Humphrey, is a huge win for them. Taking the red and blue goggles off, it's bizarre they don't do a straight swap Humphrey for Petracca - they are closer to a flag and they still build for future. - Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
