Why isn’t anybody talking about this?
  2. The match wasn’t a tactical game as such. The coaches are still having a look and sorting through the players for round one. Don’t read anything into the scores.
  3. Didn’t predict last years debacle either.
  4. W.A teams had a good look, and said no.

Big news from right wing nut jobs, yeh we will kick a community in the guts because some people in cheap suits have shared a buffet.
  7. I’ve written extensively on this matter in the main training ground thread. Maybe you should do some research before firing blanks as you said, or see a doctor. My thoughts on a partnership, being the involvement in a venue featuring the mistreatment of horses/animals are widely known. The club (Peter Jackson) spent many years extracting us from gaming venues, only for this lazy bored to jump back in at the first opportunity. I had also canvassed the possibilities of setting up a massive training centre in Williamstown on land that has been abandoned since the war. I suspect this will go straight over your head, and please don’t be so rude in future, no need for that.
  8. Caulfield will be a massive blunder, throwing good money after bad.
  9. Came down to injuries in the end, just a kick in it, to win the cup everything has to roll your way.

Anything else you need, some hand warmers, cushion maybe?

Well, that certainly clears a few things up.
  12. Merry Christmas, every body, don’t over do the grog.

The other clubs are Community clubs, and attract interest and funding from Government Geelong, Bulldogs Tassie, Tigers etc represent local communities. The exact direction that Peter Jackson was steering us toward. MFC at Caulfield racetrack is a huge blunder, a devastating decision, made out of desperation to stand for something, stand for anything.

5 years is a long time in MFC time, and here we are, inserting ourselves back into a gambling venue, and the heinous business of betting on animals.

Throwing good money after bad. How about we levy members, a grand each to conduct the unfeasibility study, it may quieten down the two Bob millionaires.

Caulfield is an illusion, planted by the board. An imagination from thirty years ago. Yeh the same board that was going to make a statement within days,(12 months ago) about immediate works to place the club in the MCG precinct. After the AGM and the sing song it will disappear into the MFC never happened basket. The MRC run Sandown, Mornington and Caulfield, and are totally skint, up to their necks in debt. No works will begin at Caulfield until Sandown is sold, the lodgement and approval or otherwise for planning permit should , take five years minimum. It appears to me many loud people pushing the Caulfield dream are associates of the board, it’s all unravelling. After all these years, not one step forward.

Oil hasn’t been refined there since 2021. This year is 2023. There is a station, Mobiltown, 300 metres away and Seaholme 1 k away. Wake up to yourself or Go follow the board blindly into Caulfield!.

Council of Hobsons Bay, Williamstown race course, Phar Lap won the Underwood stakes there. It was rumoured the Caulfield crew burnt down the grandstand to have the races moved to Caulfield, and the Government did.

Nothing a good rub of Brylcream couldn’t fix. Owned by the State Government, no horses to worry about, a couple of ovals would fit in with the coastal parklands, near a station, no housing nearby, near the Westgate. Caulfield is dumb, really dumb, building a footy club in the middle of a racetrack, bordering on the insane.

How about the old Williamstown racetrack? it’s been vacant since the end of the war.
