  1. Anything else you need, some hand warmers, cushion maybe?
  2. Well, that certainly clears a few things up.
  3. Merry Christmas, every body, don’t over do the grog.
  4. The other clubs are Community clubs, and attract interest and funding from Government Geelong, Bulldogs Tassie, Tigers etc represent local communities. The exact direction that Peter Jackson was steering us toward. MFC at Caulfield racetrack is a huge blunder, a devastating decision, made out of desperation to stand for something, stand for anything.
  5. 5 years is a long time in MFC time, and here we are, inserting ourselves back into a gambling venue, and the heinous business of betting on animals.
  6. Well that’s good news
  7. Hilarious
  8. Yeh sure, this sketch cost 300 grand.
  9. Throwing good money after bad. How about we levy members, a grand each to conduct the unfeasibility study, it may quieten down the two Bob millionaires.
  10. Caulfield is an illusion, planted by the board. An imagination from thirty years ago. Yeh the same board that was going to make a statement within days,(12 months ago) about immediate works to place the club in the MCG precinct. After the AGM and the sing song it will disappear into the MFC never happened basket. The MRC run Sandown, Mornington and Caulfield, and are totally skint, up to their necks in debt. No works will begin at Caulfield until Sandown is sold, the lodgement and approval or otherwise for planning permit should , take five years minimum. It appears to me many loud people pushing the Caulfield dream are associates of the board, it’s all unravelling. After all these years, not one step forward.
  11. Oil hasn’t been refined there since 2021. This year is 2023. There is a station, Mobiltown, 300 metres away and Seaholme 1 k away. Wake up to yourself or Go follow the board blindly into Caulfield!.
  12. Council of Hobsons Bay, Williamstown race course, Phar Lap won the Underwood stakes there. It was rumoured the Caulfield crew burnt down the grandstand to have the races moved to Caulfield, and the Government did.
  13. Nothing a good rub of Brylcream couldn’t fix. Owned by the State Government, no horses to worry about, a couple of ovals would fit in with the coastal parklands, near a station, no housing nearby, near the Westgate. Caulfield is dumb, really dumb, building a footy club in the middle of a racetrack, bordering on the insane.
  14. How about the old Williamstown racetrack? it’s been vacant since the end of the war.
  15. I don’t mind Marty Ho and good luck to Oscar, incredibly determined hard work workers to climb back on to AFL lists. If they don’t turn out as good as Sashy and Laurie, I will eat my hat
  16. Goodwin, was voted down at selection committee to not include Sache. Out of spite we went into a final one man down. Massive coaching problems still need to be healed. Not happening any time soon.
  17. In July we held picks, 5, 13, 25, 33. We had Brodes, Harmsey, Jordan, our premiership players. Be nice to start again.
  18. You’ll find all deals have been done, and handshaked, the draft show is only held for the drama.
  19. Reid and Marty Ho.
  20. No, he’s a bust, move on.
  21. We basically take the leftovers in a shallow draft, take what’s left on the table with 8 & 13, unless West Coast accept all of our picks, plus next years, throw all our chips in for number one.
  22. Ask everyone to take the pledge.
