The only photo overseas photo of Frawleys that I saw was "nice view from the gym" (no joke)
-
I would rather play a Mitch Clark with no legs than a Pedersen with two.
-
People still think he is never going to return?
-
It will be funny if he plays 22 games next year.
-
Wow Viv Michie with pick 54? great work Melbourne
-
Just made me fall of the couch with joy.
-
Yer I agree - I was originally sure that pick 2 needed to be traded but I now kind of like the idea of bringing in a bunch of unknown potentials (Lyons/Michie) - need to find some diamonds in the rough. I still think though the fact is we need to see immediate improvement next year for the club, players and supporters - we need to start developing players in a competitive culture. So if we can't get a A-grade young mid with pick 2 - then we get Aish but we then must secure some players that will be able to genuinely improve our midfield/development (Vince, maybe Cross). Having said that we can not get more senior fringe players like Pedersen and Rodan - they need to be able to lead by example. But I like the idea of Roos looking for diamonds in the rough (I think he has a good eye).

I have heard the draft falls away after about pick 40. So don't know what the value of a pick in the 40's or 50s is

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-10-14/brown-to-blue-and-white Why does everyone want to go to North? Edit: once again my one finger typing lets me down!
-
I think players generally go on holidays this time of year.
-
M Mahoney did say that he was our preferred candidate recently.
-
Yer sounds good - someone just needs to tell him his face was made for radio not tv. Jokes I love Lingy and would be stocked to have him on board - would be a loss for channel 7 as he is the only one in the studio with a pulse. But then again who wants to watch channel 7 anyway?
-
It's not a matter of Roo's popularity - its our popularity as a club that is weighing us down.
-
"In an open letter to members posted on saints.com.au, Pelchen revealed the Saints would aggressively pursue early draft picks over the next four years, in a bid to "restore the balance" to their list." http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-10-12/saints-prepped-for-lean-times I hope Saints fans know what they are in for - some tough times ahead. (almost feel sorry for them) "Aggressively pursue early draft picks" mmmmmm - I remember us doing that - don't think it ended so well. Anyone on the Saints list we want or would it have to be a 3 way trade?
-
We should be requesting living allowances with Viney and Hogan on our list - those two alone would eat through our salary cap.
-
I am no good with trade stuff but I believe GWS are looking for some experienced senior bodies like us and St Kilda know they have to rebuild so: pick 2 to St Kilda St Kilda give a number of senior players/pick to GWS. GWS gives us Shiel As I said I am not very good as these things (it would involve a bit more than that but something along those lines). Or of course they can just take pick 2 or whatever and trade it themselves.
-
So I guess we have to go into hibernation for three years because the "preferred candidate" was Dew.
-
That's where 3 way trades comes in.
-
Yes he is number 5 (or was ). Is it just me or is the Ox like a media sponge. They just throw him into the MFC and wring him out after.
-
I see Voss as a good honest coach but not a Grand Final coach
-
Brett Ratten maybe as midfield coach or in some line position but I am not sure if his game style really matches Roo's. PJ and Roo's said they where surprised how few professional/experienced staff we had at the club - we need to start fixing that.
-
PJ has never been one to approach the media - so far he has let his actions do the talking. I think we need to land a decent player - show that we are a desirable club. It would be nice for one of our players to come out and say that anyone who gets picked up by Melbourne would be very lucky. So far we seem to be that smelly fat kid at the front of class who nobody wants to sit next to. God I would like to be a fly on Paul Roos shoulder (I am so sick of being in the dark).

Bugger - goes against all our inside 'sources'........ I hear there is a so called Mark Neeld waiting in the wings? Now I am actually beginning to worry if we can lure anyone to the club this year - Roo's or not.

Shiel alone would make it a successful trade period
