  1. A few on Demonland are saying the doggies defence is poor and their forward line clearly lacks a key target so this might come down to a battle of the midfields. Can't underestimate the dogs though - they have been very competitive/consistent this year. However I can't help but think Melbourne at $3 is pretty good odds.
  2. I will remind you that our largest score for the year is 81. As Paul Roos has said defence first and the offensive side will come. I don't think thrashings are on Roos agenda yet - first and foremost is restricting the doggies scoring. It's not that pretty but I am more than happy to watch it for the rest of the year if it means we are competitive. Next year we can develop our Geelong like offensive game.
  3. "you need to put on the red vest Viney"
  4. Haha - took me a while
  5. I think thank yous are in order - RobbieF A very generous donator Take a bow
  6. I think its just automatic (was for me anyway)
  7. Jesus - you want to dig that up again - in my opinion they let us off the hook. As far as I am concerned that was the old Melbourne. We are now Roo's demons the only time we will be spoken of is when someone says "gee Melbourne played hard footy on the weekend"
  8. Mitch Clark ✔ @MitchClark11 Follow Great result. I love the way @jackviney7 attacks the footy. Now bring on the doggies. Clark bleeds red and blue ... not Maroon, blue, and gold. If Clark ever returns to football I think it will be for the MFC
  9. Hopefully that means Gawn gets a crack (Jamar and Gawn can alternate between ruck and full forward with Jamar doing about 70% of the rucking). A forward line of Dawes, Hogan, Chip, JKH, Howe and Gawn/Jamar would stretch most defences
  10. Thank god for social media..... amen!
  11. A win on Saturday would put the cherry on top, We are now a club who you should not mess with
  12. I believe you have to eat your hat...... and don't try deleting all related posts
  13. at least for the next 10 seconds (till the next scandal)
  14. IN: Colin Garland OUT: Alex Georgiou http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-05-08/garland-returns-for-georgiou Melbourne team: round eight B: Neville Jetta, Tom McDonald, Dean Terlich HB: Colin Garland, Lynden Dunn, Jack Grimes C: Daniel Cross, Dom Tyson, Bernie Vince HF: Rohan Bail, James Frawley, Jack Watts F: Jeremy Howe, Chris Dawes, Cam Pedersen FOLL: Mark Jamar, Nathan Jones, Jack Viney I/C: Christian Salem, Shannon Byrnes, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Matt Jones EMG: Max Gawn, Aidan Riley, Mitch Clisby Dogs: Ins: Daniel Giansiracusa, Jason Tutt, Fletcher Roberts Outs: Michael Talia (Omitted), Marcus Bontempelli (Omitted), Koby Stevens (Omitted)
  15. Remind me of a certain tanking saga
  16. I guess its pretty hard to argue that three blind mice for a jury have acted unreasonably
  17. The tribunal has now brought in the AFL's golden boy - James Hird to show Viney how he should have avoided the contest with a simple pirouette
  18. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-08/viney-challenge-live
  19. Outs: Byrnes, Gerorgiou.... (Viney/Frawley) Ins: Riley, Garland If Frawley doesn't pull up then Fitzy or Gawn come in If Viney doesn't pull up then Toumpas or McKenzie comes in. Clisby deserves a crack but our backline has been good and if anyone gets dropped Garland should go in - so very unlucky (Terlich needs to play well otherwise Clisby comes in)
  20. mmm - hopefully we won't need to find out.
  21. If they don't know the outcome by selection time (6:00ish) they will put him in and have till Friday morning to finalise the team http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-05-08/viney-to-be-named-in-team
  22. The site allows MFC supporters to share thoughts and knowledge - without this site the MFC would probably have 100 Satyriconhome's rocking up to training asking the players questions..... maybe we could threaten them with that.
