I'm not surprised, it was a dreadful game and we were completely over run in the end; it's not as if GWS played great football today, the just showed more skill and team work that we did. Our skill level is appalling and there is no amount of endeavour that will fix that.

Some of the players I've mentioned are a liability with the ball in their hands, the turnovers cost us more that the gains we have when they have it. Sure they have a crack but their skill level is simply appalling.

You think, he's too slow to make up his mind and I thought he was dreadful today, he's a liability and it's probably only that there were so many worse that makes him look even passable. Terlich is one of the worst footballers I've seen he simply hasn't got a clue.

We have far too many players that are simply not up to AFL standard and no amount of development, will or could change that, it's all about the recruiting. We are miles away from being even a reasonable side. Pederson, Terlich, M Jones Bail, Georgiou and probably Spencer aren't up to it. If Frawley wants the big bucks he needs to lift a bit as well.

I was very keen to take Wines in the drafb and said so on here, so why would I whinge if Toump turned out better? I'd made my choice and you can make all the excuses you like, the simple fact is Ollie Wines looks like being a star and Toump is no where near that, good honest player. I wish him well, we desperately need him to be a good player and not another botched selection.

Can't recall saying that. My point is we are vey light on for clearance players and even with Jones and Tyson there we still lost the first 6 centre clearances; Wines is a big body and we desperately need that at the moment. You obviously disagree.

Did you go to the game on Sunday, I did. One thing I noticed was they won the first 6 centre clearances and kicked 6 goals, when we won our first centre clearance we kicked our first goal; now there's a surprise for you. I have nothing against Toump and hope he turns in to a good player, but he is not going to win centre clearances for us and Wines would, we get smashed in the middle and are behind the 8 ball from the start.

If we are trying to build a team from the draft we are going to be miles behind Gold Coast and GWS especially if we are going to draft on future potential. I would rather have two years of proven form than two years of "just one more pre season and he'll be ok". It never ceases to amaze how some of the posters on here don't understand that a player can play really well in his first year and then GET EVEN BETTER, the thinking is if you start off well you are doomed to fail.

It's all about needs, some clubs can recruit for the future some like us have to recruit for the now, or there may be no future.

Couldn't agree more, they ran and attacked all day while we stagnated and waited for a team mate to take a risk, too many players afraid to take the game on. Terlich is like a kamikaze pilot when he has the ball in general play but I reckon I saw more movement in the statues outside the ground when he was taking the kick ins. Why is it that our better skilled players have no pace and our faster players have no skill.

Today showed up just how much work we need to do, I thought we looked unfit compared to west Coast, they ran harder and we simply couldn't keep up.

I started attending MFC games well before any of the current players were born and in some cases their fathers were born. I've seen players come and go, I've seen them win enough to get us in to finals, I've seen them win so few we've finished on the bottom. The current bunch have done very little to EARN my praise and it's neither here nor there whether they make the cut on the banner, as far as I'm concerned. To be honest if it was done on pure dedication and giving100% every week, there would be only one player up there; Nathan Jones.

It's their relentless attack on the ball or anyone that stands in their way that impresses me. We have shown some spirit but they ooze it.

I love the spirit that Power play with and wish we had some of it.

Ok, that is impressive wonder how long it will be before some of these kids start to question why they are playing better, but getting paid less, because of you know who.

I agree Graeme, the banner should be floating with those that deserve to be there, there and those that don't, not there. We could have it showing the top players from the week before according to the Demonland player of the year.

Didn't see the game, but he didn't get a lot of it looking at the stats.

We should have no designated forwards instead all backs, we have had trouble with forwards for years so if they were all classed as back men then the footy gods wouldn't know which ones to strike down.

We seem to have lost all/any pre season enthusiasm already, my guess is we will lose by around 25 points.

To be quite honest I think the club should put out an injury list with no predictions of return, they are usually wrong and they are always optimistic. The numbers beside the name are a guess and/or a best case scenario, so they are going to look stupid for no gain at all and if they are way out we get this sort of reaction.

We're doomed.

We have no one to kick goals so I guess no goals=loss and it really is a matter of how much we can stem the tide. It's a pity if we have to play Pederson and Byrnes again but I bet we do. I'm not sure if Blease is the answer, but I guarantee Byrnes isn't so he should come in. Bernie has to play in the middle, Tapscott has to show if he cam play and should go in to the forward line to replace him. Gawn to replace Fitzy if he can't play, or Pederson if he can.

My Family sponsor's Tappy, I was talking to him at the season launch and he said that he loves to play hard football but you get umpired out of games unless you hit the right way it's very easy to get booked or free kicked if you go too hard nowadays. I reckon that's one of his problems he just can't play the way he always has. Brad Miller was never the same after he got booked a few times for going hard in to packs.
