  1. Clearly we won't be chasing Daw, if it was to happen it needed to be last year so he could play this year and possibly part of next depending on how quickly The Weed and Hulett develop.
  2. Only 3 out of 10 Friday night games have been worth watching.
  3. I will have to take you up on that offer one night.
  4. I've been to a few swans games as a neutral supporter, a lot of people go as social outing as opposed to going to watch the game. Those there tonight are the real fans.
  5. You could argue Hawks were flat last week just like Geelong were. Who ever wins I'd be surprised if one team gets flogged.
  6. Swans before last week in no particular order wins carlton essndon collingwood (days after drug story broke) lions (nearly lost) eagles (SCG, didn't read much into that) giants ( they meet again soon, Cameron will be there this time, I'm tipping a different result) hawks (only real scalp to date) losses crows (got challenged and failed) tigers (what a joke) We will know soon enough.
  7. Rampe is in great form BBO but Richards being out for me swings it in Norths favour. It is cold but conditions still good.
  8. North at $3.....very nice Hawks Dees Tigers Saints Giants Cats Dogs Eagles
  9. Can you show me Dawes then since he arrived at the club? How many games has he influenced besides the one against Adelaide?
  10. Agreed R-Jay but for once we (the club) are doing the right thing by letting the pair develop at Casey. Until they are ready I believe we would of been better served by Daw rather than Pedo or Dawes. What's he done?? He took his chances I thought against Essendon two weeks ago as well as rd 23 against the Tigers last year. We don't have a Brown or a Waite, we have Pedo and Dawes and he would go past them until....and it's not about "enough quality going forward" it's about holding the fort until The Weed and or Hulett are ready. As I stated 7 posts earlier he shouldn't be seen as the answer or the future but simply a better option than Dawes or Pedo while the other two develop. Daw will be at another club next year and prove many people wrong.
  11. For those knocking him take a look and then tell yourself you would rather Dawes/Pedo for two years. If anyone wants to bring up his easy miss against the Bombers two weeks ago can we also discuss Hogan and Petracca. Also worth looking at was round 23 against Richmond last year. Dont worry guys Dawes will be back shortly and he can bring the ball to ground for our smalls.
  12. Daw can play regardless of what the popular vote on here is. No he's never going to be a star of the game but I believe he will become a handy player at another club next year. I find it amusing how much flack The Daw cops on here from posters, some of those same posters then go on to state in another thread that his namesake is almost ready to come back into our side. I made a call about this time last year that we should go after him, and I said at the time shouldn't be considered a long term prospect for us initially but more as a stop gap for 1-2 years until we find someone else, and that he would be a better forward marking option/2nd ruck than either of Dawes or Pedo (what a bloody concept), and he would of cost us jack all. As we know we went on to draft The Weed and Hulett, and I think everyone is happy about the way they are developing and the way the club has handled them, Daw would of been the ideal player (in terms of cost to trade for/his wage) to fill the gap until they are ready.
  13. Please don't anyone forget who we played yesterday and at times we were still sloppy. Plenty of room for improvement.
  14. It's not about 1 game OD, it's about his season to date, his career as a whole and the team as a whole moving forward.
  15. On the same token who misses out when everyone's fit (if there's such a thing)?? Angus? VB? Trengove? The Prince? Hard decisions need to be made all round.
  16. Some will sight I have a vendetta against Grimes/Garland....we've leave that there. OD it's about being proactive and not reactive, whilst he did some good things yesterday we need to look at his year to date, he's had some bad games, and without going down the "he's not alone" path we are coming up against some teams that have some really tall timber up forward. Winnable games as long as we have our selections/structures right. For me Frost needs to come in straight away, and before anyone argues against his or McDonalds disposal that's why we surround them will good users/decision makers.
  17. B : JETTA FROST BUGG HB : HUNT TMAC WAGNER C : STRETCH TYSON VINCE HF : PETRACCA WATTS KENT F : GARLETT HOGAN KENNEDY R : GAWN VINEY JONES BENCH : ANB SALEM THE PRINCE PEDO OUT : GARLAND OSCAR NEWTON MICHIE OLIVER (if doesn't get up) IN : FROST PEDO JETTA SALEM THE PRINCE (if good to go) We need to be pro active and not reactive. We have coming up Port - Dixon, The Hoff Hawks - Sicily, Obrien Pies - Moore, Cox Swans - Tippet, Buddy Crows - Texan, Jenkins Dockers - F##k knows Saints - Bruce, Roo, Eagles - Kennedy, Darling Suns - Wright, Lynch Lets get Frost in the side down back and settled in, the sooner the better. Some players are stiff to miss but it's only going to get harder with Brayshaw, VB and Trengove coming back at various stages. F##k, I've forgotten Harmes.
  18. Going to be interesting to see what happens with Dawes. Thoughts on Frost down back?
  19. Wondering when Frost would get thrown up. I would love to see him get a block of games playing in a key defensive post.
  20. To say we've done well without him forward....against who...the Lions? I like that we have a number of small/mid size players that can play forward but we also need tall marking options.
