A Day at the Races
I read Chautauqua is having a barrier trial at Rosehill in between races. If the horse jumps it could receive the loudest roar of the day. Fingers crossed.

A Day at the Races
Tim Clark rode him last prep in all races. Santos finished second in a trial a couple of weeks ago, not sure what’s going on there. We’ll go with Performer, no Sandbar either.

Would Lycett be worth a look as a backup without giving up too much? Any talk of anyone that’s interested?

NFL
Hi all. I follow Da Bears. I have been browsing the thread every now and more than happy to join a tipping competition if you need some more numbers. I haven’t followed the NFL as closely the last few years although I still enjoy watching games on Foxtel.

A Day at the Races
Da Bears!!!! Yeah, I’d love to come over and join in the tipping comp, I’ll start only with that, haven’t followed the NFL as closely the last few years, I’ve been reading the thread every few days though. NHL commencing in October to follow all the madness of September. Good times ahead Macca.

A Day at the Races
Love your thinking Macca.....start of September sounds really good to kick off the ‘Trifecta’ amongst other things if you know what I mean. ? Wow, hot field above.....good old ‘Tom Melbourne‘ resuming in September.....sorry, enough with the ‘Omens’.

A Day at the Races
Yes, how we can we forget the famous Performer sidestep and he was an early favourite for the Slipper. That was a nasty fall. Must be time soon for the ‘Team Trifecta’ Macca. Happy to go again when you find a suitable selection of races.

A Day at the Races
Ha Ha...thanks Macca. I remember you mentioning the match-up between Sandbar and Santos last week. This race should be a beauty, I can’t wait. Final fields will be out tomorrow of course and will start the studying as soon as they are listed. I’ll have the latest on Santos later in the week.

HATCH MATCH & DESPATCH 2018
Goddard, hey? Anyone think he can make it as an assistant coach? I mean, he tried hard telling his teammates what to do all the time.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Oliver is human after all although you could argue he meant to get the ball to Hannan for a score involvement.

A Day at the Races
Ha ha, why wouldn’t the Basil be rowdy and boisterous? We just made the finals!!!!!!! I like the Japanese horses, had success with Delta Blues in the 2006 Melbourne Cup and Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup. Shame what happened with the latter in the aftermath of the 14’ Melbourne Cup.

A Day at the Races
Good idea Wadda, will start researching early for the Cups. Here’s an article on three imports, Tosen Basil included.....interesting comments by Weir. Weir said Admire Robson and Cassius were on their best behaviour while Tosen Basil needed to improve his race-day manners. "He's was quite rowdy and boisterous, something that needs a bit of work on," Weir said. https://www.racenet.com.au/news/weir-trained-japanese-gallopers-go-through-their-paces-at-ballarat-20180819

A Day at the Races
Melbourne Cup Watch? Just watched Marmelo run in the Group 2 Darley Prix Kergorlay at Deauville. Sent out a $1.80 favourite and couldn’t reel in the eventual winner. Finished second by a couple of lengths and looked to hang towards the outside down the straight. Race caller feels he lowered his colours today. He’s in the markets for the Cups, unsure about plans on coming down under though.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Maybe we can give this a rest for a while. Hogan has done his bit to help us get to the September, hope his recovery goes well and let’s look forward to Weideman for whatever comes for the remainder of the season.

Haha Wadda. I believe West Brom have kept some of their EPL class players after been relegated. The good thing about their high scoring matches is eventually they will go under the 2.5 goals where if your lucky enough you could find some real value in excess of $2.00. Penrith....well what can you say?? Top 4 on the line with a couple of weeks to go in the season and they drop a game against a team that’s out of contention for finals at home.
