$11.80 the Quinella. I might go walk the dog now to avoid the PL.

Terrific victory, I was hoping she didn’t have that good a closing speed, I was on Dubious. An almost day for me today Macca, unlucky with your picks the last two weeks, you’ve been nabbed late.

Most of the squad heading back now. O Mac, T Smith, Jetta, Harmes, Hunt, Trac, stayed back for some extra work. Vanders running 200s on his own. Looks fine.

Training - Saturday 12th January, 2019
Everyone is still trying to work it about Gus. He’s moving fine though, picked up a loose ball off the ground in one of the drills and turned swiftly to pass it to a teammate without hindrance. Now doing some solid paced running with Lever and Viney.

Looks like the whole squad is out there with the exception of Melksham. Haven’t seen him so far. Jones heading back to AAMI after some running, walking and some boxing exercises. Looked like a light load for the skip.

A Day at the Races
Hope you got a collect there Macca. I should know by now to back El early as he seems to be plunged late every start. The price in the end was a bit low for my liking and the query was the 1300. In saying that he did run a good race, just found one better. Did I hear the caller say all winners tonight were Cranbourne trained horses?

Leaders. Leadership, & True Grit
Just an incredible sporting club. Finals appearances each year for the last decade or so with the exception of 2010 due to points stripped, even then their record that year was enough to make it into the finals. Multiple GF appearances, a coach that boasts the highest win percentage in the game and these stats don’t tell the whole story behind their success. The ability over the years to get the best out of players in the twilight of their careers has been nothing short of amazing. As for Cam Smith, nothing but admiration, what a leader and player. I read a while back in one of his seasons he only made 10 errors.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Haha, not much else to be gained, fineprint states pets, vehicles and alcohol are strictly prohibited on the oval.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Not a bad looking oval, had a look at their site and it’s available for hire. Going cheap too, $50 P/Hour without floodlighting and $100 P/Hour with.

Players of note 2019
Predicting pretty much the same Dirts. May Weid Sparrow The mystery man is Preuss, I’m guessing we’ll get a taste of Team Prawn during the JLT. Interested to see the tactics behind the combo.

A Day at the Races
Nice, I’m liking ‘Dubious’, ‘Rome’ is going in as well for the exotics if it gains a run. We could get the weekend going on a good note, El is racing Friday night at Cranbourne, drawn out in Casey Fields (13), carrying 60.5kg and stepping up to 1300m, what could possibly go wrong?

Origins/meanings of Display Names?
A close friend part-owned a racehorse called Dan Zephyr. I was previously Demon77 and was looking to change my display name early last year. The name Dee Zephyr was suggested to me by another member on here and I thought it was fitting as the horse was going through a long drought of over two years without a win. A week or two after changing my name the horse comes out and wins his last ever race to end the drought. The name stays until the main drought is over.
