Finals Week 1
We’re back to a place where the only enjoyment we get is watching other teams lose. Love them or hate them, the Pies have a strong belief about themselves and good luck to them. That Elliott smother/dive on Bews from memory in the dying minutes was pure determination and team first football. Most Geelong players looked like they had concrete boots on. Dangerfield carried them last night and he nearly pinched the game.

Finals Week 1
This game needs a Hannan 50 metre 3 bounce run and goal.

Finals Week 1
Was there a drink thrown on Merrett during the boundary side scuffle with Nic Nat? The replay showed liquid being sprayed all over the nearest camera. On the game itself, Nic Nat’s tackling was scary at times. Not sure how the Eagles ended up 5th, there really isn’t a weakness in that team.

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Interesting to read a couple of the youngsters are compared to a couple of our players. Hayden Young plays like Salem and Sam Flanders plays like Petracca. To those with expertise in the upcoming draft, would that be an accurate assessment on those 2 players?

Petracca on the Move?
Not a bad place to visit is the Hawks BF board. Apparently Patton has trimmed down from 108kg to 97kg, he’s 5cm taller than Ruff and has a reach 15cm longer. I can’t find the Petracca bit though.

Craig Jennings Gone at Seasons End
Viney is on a belated honeymoon @Sir Why You Little. Now is probably the best time for the both of them to enjoy some time together.

GWS Surplus
Can we share the love please? Article sounds interesting, providing it doesn’t mention we’re trading someone out.

Trade Tom McDonald Thread
Yes, you did mention it at the top of the thread. I hope we politely refused and pointed them toward the closest surf beach.

Brayshaw a Better Player After 2019
Does this mean Gus is staying put?

Trade Jack Viney Thread
He’s not just a battering ram!

Rory Laird
Laird would be the first player I’d take from the Crows if it was at all possible. Jetta and Hibbo aren’t getting younger and he would be perfect back there next to his old mate Lever and May for the next 5 years.

Yes, fair point @Macca. Respect.

Dees interested in Roughead
Bugger, Roughy would have been a great help to us. He might have a monumental task at Moorabbin managing the list though, they are linked to so many players this off-season they could field 2 AFL teams next year.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Interesting you bring up the absence of runners RM. I remember reading the below article prior to Round 1 about ‘Upskilling’ our playing group and especially our leaders. It all sounded good at the time, but it looks like the added responsibility wasn’t handled well at all amongst other issues. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-03-14/runner-restrictions-a-chance-to-upskill-jones

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?
That’s the thing Wise, we wouldn’t know if Richmond are willing to let him go. They have fierce competition for the small forward position and it’s working for them at the moment. Sounds like he definitely put his hand up today to get back in and feature in finals. A few Richmond fans at work rate him highly and don’t want to lose him. In terms of his value, I wouldn’t have a clue to be honest, others are much better judges than me on here.

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?
Anyone know the contract status of Dan Butler? A few on here seem keen to get him over to us. He kicked 4 second half goals today for Richmond in their VFL Qualifing final against Essendon. Best part about that was Essendon giving up a 40pt 3 quarter time lead and losing by 2 points.

MFC Top 10 highlights 2019
O Mac’s first AFL goal should make the Top 10. Lovely sidestep and left foot snap. Probably the most watched clip of the year, for me anyway, up there with the last 30-40 seconds of the victory against Suns.
