He’d be consistently polling votes in the B&F, chance for a top 5 finish if he carries this form on. He’s having a good season, especially the last 8 weeks or so. Such wonderful balance and power. Rendered emotionless after last night, so were many others at Marvel after the 20 minute mark or so of the last. I think Jones undid some of his good work in the last month by constantly burning teammates, could have easily given a quick handball to teammates running by on numerous occasions rather than just blazing. This game of hot potato has to stop. Basic skills have just vanished. Why? The bad signs were evident half way through the second, they looked stuffed, hence those tired kicks forward from the wing to....no one really. We were smashed in inside 50s also, not much any defence can do when no one blocks the space in front of opposition forwards. Just my observations. A couple of small pluses, Petty has quick hands and could turn out a very good player for us. Trac right up there with our most consistent and better players the last 6 weeks or so. How Marvel got voted World stadium of the Year is beyond me. Pockets of Level 3 smelt like Port Melbourne Pier, seriously needs a clean up from birds.

A terrific and thrilling finish to the race Macca. Crystal Ocean was mighty in defeat but champs almost always find a way. Enable was trapped wide early and Dettori was forced to go back with only 3 behind her. Definitely the highlight of the night after what I witnessed at Marvel.
