  1. It doesn’t actually say how many times we’ve had the opportunity Pates. I can only think of 2. The game you speak of, where Hunt had a shot from about 70 out and the Weid miss last year as Fork ‘em mentions above.
  2. It was nip and tuck all game Pennant. I remember the game shouldn’t have gotten to that point. Stephen Powell had a shocking miss late in the game. From memory it would have put us by a couple of kicks but he rushed the shot from 20m out and I think he missed the lot.
  3. Classic stuff, we are 1 of 2 clubs to be beaten after the siren by a former player. At least it was The Wiz.
  4. Oliver Petracca Fritsch Salem
  5. Good, send Richmond to play them for the opening game of 2021. A bit sick of watching Carl v Rich open the season.
  6. Ice hockey does it best DJ. Some of the top TV commentators make the game more exciting than it looks, that’s if you enjoy the sport. Radio commentary of the game goes to another level though. Such a fast sport and the detail is immaculate. I guess they don’t have time to talk gibberish.
  7. Have our QLD reporters done the Slip-Slop-Slap yet? Nearly time....

  10. Oh man, I think it’s time for our QLD correspondents to go undercover. A quick lap of the sports complex, if that fails find out where they are staying and rock up as a pizza boy with some pizzas. Worst case scenario we’ll hear something from Sunday’s open session.
  11. Apologies if it’s been mentioned already, I haven’t seen it listed anywhere until a short time ago. According to an AFL.com article about additional matches in the pre-season I came across this. - Essendon and Melbourne players not required in the Marsh Series will head to Casey Fields for a practice match on February 21. - ADDITIONAL PRE-SEASON HITOUTS CONFIRMED Geelong v Collingwood – Thursday February 13 – GMHBA Stadium – TBC Gold Coast v Brisbane – 7pm, Saturday February 15 – Metricon Stadium – 7pm – 4x25min Carlton v Collingwood – 4pm, Thursday February 20 – IKON Park – 6x25min Melbourne v Essendon – Friday February 21 – Casey Fields – TBC Hawthorn v St Kilda – 5pm, Friday February 28 – Morwell – 4x25min Adelaide v Port Adelaide – 12pm, Saturday February 29 – Thebarton Oval – 4x25min We get an earlier look at some of the boys even if it’s only one day.
  12. Gus just needs to stop trying to smother Bedford’s kicks. In the same week Bedford has kicked a ball into his family jewels and put his arm in a brace for a few weeks.

  14. The most pleasing thing out of the Trac interview is to hear we nearly have 2 squads out there participating in drills. Our injury toll of last year has been discussed at length and the effect it had on our season but to hear Trac say some of our match sims were 10 v 10 ( he’s probably not even exaggerating) makes you realise just how bad it was at times. Some say poor management, some just bad luck, either way not much can be done on the track with numbers like that. Stay fit boys and hopefully with a near full list we can get a few early wins to hit the ground running then who knows, we just might get on a roll in 2020.

  16. Sheesh, the ball girl just gave Sandgren a corkie during the changeover. Definitely a Demon this bloke.

  19. Pretty much noticed the same Webber. Thought Salem, Jetta and Viney were the standouts during the match sim. Salem and Jetta were especially clean with ball, the former looking really good running from half back and through the centre/wing delivering the ball flawlessly. On the negative side, J Smith had a couple of costly turnovers with no pressure from defence, noticed he was cursing himself afterwards. Kicking needs improvement from what I saw. The session would have been close to 3 hours? We arrived at 9:30 and they were already out there. A great turnout by supporters also.
  20. Lady at the scarf collection said the boys at Melksham’s wedding will have a mini training session up in Byron then fly straight to Maroochydore. Also, membership as of this morning is at 30,278. A bit less than this time last year but on par with 2018. Overall, club is happy with the renewals so far.
  21. Lady next to us just asked him about it, didn’t catch what’s actually wrong just that it’s keeping his arm in range. All sorts of gadgets on there.
  22. Mitch Brown, just a feeling he will be playing in the early rounds.
  23. Thanks @dworship, how did Mitch Brown look during the match sim?
  24. Open session Monday with Demon Army snags in attendance, you ripper!
