100% agree.

If Bizzell had not have gone for the punch and an Essendon player had of marked it, people would be having a go at him for not going the spoil. It was a risk he had to take. EDIT: His actual attempt wasn't the best, seeing as the ball went through the pack, but I think that the idea was right.

Just one question on Bizzell. A lot of people talk about how old he is and because of this, he should retire at the end of the year. My question is, have his performances this year been a affected by how old he is? That is, is he showing any signs of an ageing player?

Nathan Brown giving away the free-kick and Daniher flooding the opposition defense, allowing Essendon to get the ball easily into their forward line said a fair bit too.

I thought Newton did really well. Remember, he was playing on Dustin Fletcher who is a very good footballer.

Like him as a coach? As a person?

Along with Brown, Godfrey came across as one of ND's favourites and so I think that it is fitting that Daniher is there to coach when Godfrey reaches this milestone.

I'm not saying that he isn't going out with dignity. It makes more sense when you see where the quote came from.

But I thought you wanted to "let someone (Daniher) who has served the Club well over long period of time finish with some dignity"?

Voss doesn't have coaching experience. But let's give him the experience. He may take a couple a years to fully settle in, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice, however I wouldn't be surprised if within those two years Melbourne make a genuine shot for a flag. I'd prefer to see Melbourne try and fail with Voss than not try at all.

This is easily the best coaching decision Daniher has ever made. I wish him all the best for the future. Great bloke, great "face" of the MFC. Lousy coach. EDIT: I've never questioned his passion, his determination and love of the MFC. I have however always questioned his ability to coach and that above all else is what matters. Just re-read it Jaded. Look what it says next to Bell's name. Bell has had a very good season and I've always been a fan of his. However, if you look at the stats, so has Bizzell. Furthermore, much of what deanox said about Bizzell was done so using only statistics. But more importantly, by just watching the games you will see that Bizzell has done well also.

To all of those who doubt Bizzell, watch the game again. Even Denis Cometti commented on how well Bizzell played. Like belzebub59 said, if he wasn't there the scoreline could have been a lot worse.
