  1. Delist: -Brown -Miller -Ferguson -Warnock -Jamar -CJ
  2. Was it one of the Burgoyne's that Holland almost chased down yesterday? Whoever it was, Benny showed a surprising amount of toe.
  3. All of the West Coast players are just pure muscle. They are not all big, but just strongly built. It makes a big difference.
  4. Bizzell should stay. I know I harp on about him, but for good reason. Yes, he didn't star for Sandy yesterday, but that doesn't matter because his Melbourne form has been excellent.
  5. I didn't realise that Brisbane won by almost 100 points. That's insane.
  6. Well actually...
  7. There's only so much delisting, trading and drafting that a club can do to change their "cattle", so they might as well do the right thing with the players that they have got. Tactics can be changed easily. Players not so.
  8. The thing that stood out to me last night was just how strong each and every player is. This is nothing new, but when you compare them the skinny Bulldogs, the difference was incredible. West Coast's strength is and always has been their midfield. They realise this and have developed a style of play and structure that plays to this strength. Whilst Melbourne's midfield of Jones, McLean, Moloney etc. can potentially (and has been) be very good, I would be surprised if they ever got on top of a midfield with the likes of Kerr, Judd and Cousins. That's why Melbourne need to play to their strengths. IMO, Melbourne's strength is (and has been for a while) their forward line. Injuries have not helped this season, however I see a core forward line consisting of Neitz, Robertson, Davey, Bate/Dunn and Newton with Green, Bruce, Sylvia, P. Johnson, White, Pickett (if he ever plays again), Petterd rotating through as having the potential to be one of the most formidable forward lines in the competition. Whether or not this potential eventuates is another thing. However, IMO the important thing is to set up a structure and develop a game plan that plays to their strength. What do other people think?
  9. Old Man Rivers, you've got a typo that you might want to fix.
  10. That's not true at all, if you watch Bizzell closely you'll know why. Many people here seem to think that Bizzell is always loose on his opponent. That's not true. The reason it looks this way is that if the ball is kicked to another opposition forward (someone Bizzell isn't playing on) then he leaves his man to help out. However, like I said, he tends to only do this when the ball has been directed to a different opposition forward other than his own. It may be a bit of a risk, but when someone can read the play as well as Bizzell it is one worth taking and one that has seen him play some very good football since returning to the team this year.
  11. I'm not sure about Bizzell on Motlop, but I believe that he should be in the team. I just hope that he was only dropped so as to give Ferguson a run. Because he did not deserve to be dropped on form.
  12. I've come to think that Biz was dropped to give Ferguson a last chance, Carroll was dropped to give Holland a last chance and PJ was dropped to give Jamar a last chance.
  13. Imagine if Melbourne actually beat Port...
  14. I just don't see how any positives can come out of dropping PJ, Bizzell and Carroll. Especially while Miller, Brown and Ward are still in the team.
  15. Bizzell will be back. It is a disgrace that he was dropped in the first place. I just hope that it was only done so as to give Ferguson a chance.
  16. I don't agree with what they did. That's the only reason I can think of as to why they would drop PJ.
  17. I don't think he did anything wrong. I think that they are trying to see what Jamar can do right.
  18. Or maybe he has doen enough to warrant another year and they have decided to rest him. Seeing how he is so incredibly old...
  19. Mine doesn't look like this: FB: B.Holland, R.Ferguson, J.Frawley HB: D.Bell, B.Miller, C.Bruce C: B.Green, J.McDonald, P.Wheatley HF: N.Brown, R.Robertson, S.Godfrey FF: C.Sylvia, D.Neitz, M.Bate, Foll: J.White, B.McLean, N.Jones Int: B.Moloney, S.Buckley, M.Newton, D.Ward, M.Jamar, L.Dunn, C.Garland
  20. Even if someone like Jamar is brought in to "increase his value", I don't see how watching him get smashed by Brogan and Lade is going to help.
  21. 22. Put simply, it's about quality and not quantity.
  23. Why do Melbourne need another coach to last ten years?
  24. Melbourne aren't looking for another "Rev". That's why they got rid of him.
