When Miller has played back he has been even worse than when he's played forward. I don't care if playing forward is harder or whatever, the fact is that when he has played back he has looked completely lost. Having said that, I don't think he deserves a spot anywhere in the team.

Ricky has been great. But saying that one player is better than another simply because of the number of possessions they get is nonsense.

Daniher had a full list for the nine years before this season. We know what he can did. At best can take Melbourne to the finals. At worst he can help his team go to 0 - 9 using tactics that even a key player has admitted to over-training in the pre-season and that isn't how Melbourne play their natural or best football. What he can't do is take Melbourne to a Premiership.

One more thing. Melbourne having a decent number of players in their forward line.

Bizzell never went anywhere.

Bizzell played a great game today. Along with Holland he was the best defender. Not only were his disposal, judgment and on-field directions good he did well on on two different sized / style of players in Medhurst and Cloke when on them.

It's all in his technique. He doesn't guide the ball on to his foot very well if at all. He never has, but somehow he has been able to get away with it.

Stan Alves ( a self confessed Daniher fan) on ABC 774 was talking about how Melbourne's new strategy over the pre-season has cost them more this season than injuries have. Jared Rivers was just interviewed and he talked about how Melbourne spent a lot of time training for the new game plan over the pre-season and how it hasn't helped this season. It was interesting to hear these comments coming from both former and current Melbourne stars.

I was amazed that he went so far down draft.

ATM I'd take out Ward, Godfrey, Wheatley, Frawley and Yze. Pickett in for Yze, Whelan in for Ward, Moloney in for Godfrey, Rivers in for Frawley, Bartram in for Wheatley. Having said that, on form I do think that the likes of Yze and Wheatley do have a spot in the side. Frawley will have his time later on.
