  1. We made a profit this year, what impact? Why? Casey is the future, the supporter base needs to keep expanding China was an AFL initiative, we bought into it, they come up with a new one each year, believe this year is New Zealand Darwin was answered in another post What gaps? Old Dee are you going to be there, look forward to your questions
  2. No dress code, thankfully, it is going to be 37 As for the agenda, if you want to ask a question, get up and ask, depending on what is said, I am going to
  3. Magner had his first pre season last year and a shortened one, he has increased his endurance and looks faster, would not surprise me to see Neeld using him up forward As for Le Cras it seems strangely quiet, maybe one of the Dees in the west can post what he is up to, been nearly a year since he did his knee, doesn't get a namecheck on any of the latest stories on their website....strange Agree with Blease but that will be in a year or two, needs at least another pre season Jetta is very versatile, will show this year, can play there if need be Kent by the way from what I have seen is as fast as Blease, just starting out though, but has a fair rig on him as well, under the radar at the moment Barry might get a go up there as well
  4. Why? what you don't like Blease, Kent, Davey, Byrnes, Magner..Jetta in a pinch Milne is 33 this year isn't he, Le Cras has had a very serious injury, if Betts leaves Carlton I would be very surprised
  5. Clint, think you need to alter the angle of your cap, it seems to be obscuring your vision too much, judging by your assessment of some of the players at training.....just a hint Jose, I have now seen 'live' and in pictures at least six different white and blue teams, there is some thought given to it obviously, but I wouldn't read too much into it......most of us have 'locks' in certain positions and I am sure the Footy Dept does as well, but if they have a niggle or are not in form or not performing on the track from what i have seen of Neeld they won't play
  6. And if you ask the player or coach of course you will never get the truth, I asked Dawes, Grimes, Jones et al when they were in the rehab group and they were all just a bit 'sore'.....professionalism again
  7. I spoke about this after chatting with Fitzy last week, they have to report the slightest niggle and it is checked out and they are put in the rehab group to work through whatever the issue is, if at all, so Tappy must have a niggle somewhere, Grimes spent the first four or five weeks in the rehab group, he is fine nowTerlich has obviously been diagnosed with concussion so he is allowed to do very little. Everything is much more professional now, there won't be players 'hiding' injuries, or being given a game if not fully fit
  8. With Col Sylvia, if he gets throught the last couple of weeks of pre season and the NAB Cup unscathed it will probably be the first time ever since his very first season, let's not try and jinx him, spoke to him at trainging the other week, he wants to really show people. Supporters need to realise that if you don't get a full preseason under your belt, you are playing catchup...so don't go expecting great things from Clark first up
  9. I couldn't get to training so I was looking for a report, I skipped the majority of the posts after reading the first one on Gysberts, I usually read anything WJ has to say, hence my post
  10. I take it you are using your medical degree and years of experience to say he has had minor injuries, only or do you know for a fact they were
  11. WJ never thought I would see the day when I disagree with you, but this is one of the problems about this board now and agan, 2 posters hijacking the topic to discuss a player who is not even with us, I don't care if he wins the Brownllow this season, the only problem with that is I will have to have one of my self imposed exiles as the board fills with vitriol blaming everybody from the CEO to the boot studder for trading him. Must we continually revisit the past...new season...whole new bal game.... As I said in nnother post AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!....there I feel better now
  12. Just read it myself and got a tweet from the Club
  13. aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....there I feel better now
  14. I don't like to get into one of these [censored] for tat, but you are basing you view of the current on the past, I can see why you are saying what you are saying, but as I have said that is the past, we haven't kicked a ball in anger yet in 2013. I have spoken to Aaron Davey, to use one of your examples, and watched him at training, he is happy, healthy and fit looiking, he has always been a skilful footy player, so hopefully he can put it together this year, I don't really care what he did in the past couple they are finished,.....same same with Sylvia and Jetta..........it may all end up a horrible mess again but we will only know that in August not February......I for one will be going to the NAB cup games with a fair bit of optimism this year........I want to have a look at them in actual game conditions
  15. I have asked the Club on twitter, blond stands out, at the moment there is Terlich, Taggert and Stark and Stark is with the group in the photo
  16. I know this is a strange statement but neck brace at least means it is not a knee or a broken limb
  17. I am all for allowing you to continue looking over your shoulder at the past, as long as Viney plays his role that will do me, you have named a few players who have hardly managed a full preseason ever or for a couple of years, let's wait and see before making judgements on this year. Although I agree with other posters, if you don't perform this year, you risk not being at the club next year
  18. Aaron Davey has always had confidence in his footy, the injuries and fitness issues have cruelled for last couple of years, spoke to him last week, feeling on top of the world
  19. My personal thought, take, guess, hope etc for this season is that we break even and consolidate, ready to take bigger steps in 2014
  20. Can you expand on that breathtaking statement rpfc
  21. I really like your user name because what you said about Watts is a complete load of it, Cheap dispoals? Why does everybody else have him in the backline, do you see something that others including the Footy Dept don't, if so what is it...... Are you alluding that he is soft? So you would have him playing exclusively at Casey next season would you?
  22. Why are you not convinced about Jetta in the backline, he was slated to play their last season by the Club until he got injured, Jade Rawlings is a big fan
  23. The only two I am willing to pencil in are Dawes and Pederson, the rest will be as somebody else has said rotating, this is what Neeld wants, guys who can and will play anywhere. I think we will have stoppage specialists in Viney McKenzie and Grtimes the rest will be on the move constantly I know it was only training but the highlight for me on the video posted in another topic was Jetta coming out of the back half with a beautiful pass to Davey out on a wing, who put it back in the corridor for Byrnes who had come from a pocket leaving Nicholson in his wake who then chipped it over the top to Dawes coming straight down the middle.....Dawes then handed off to Davey who had continued his run...in games yes please
  24. And there is nothing at all wrong with that
  25. That's Jesse Hogan in the Number 1, he made a lot of the male watchers on Monday envious, at one point he went back to the van/marquee and stripped off his shirt, for a 17 yr old he was ripped, god knows what he will look like in a couple of years, first saw him a couple of months ago and the change already is amazing.....besides which the kid can play
