A proven star is somebody who has put it together for 4 or 5 seasons, agreed Cameron had a wonderful season last year, but this year? please Nathan Jones is a proven star who is finally getting the kudos he deserves
-
er let me think, Hawkins, Tippett as he approachs full fitness, Walker as he approachs full fitness, Franklin, Jack Riewoldt (if Richmond get it together)....Hogan once we get him right will be better
-
Machsy has put his head above the parapet so now I want an explanation as to who the inflamed, if it is just posters on here, then no harm done, I have spoken to some of the players, you can tell a couple "didn't really appreciate it", but if they want a career they have to suck it up and get on with it, most knew where he was coming from As far as I can tell the Club are cool with it, we will see at season's end
-
That is your opinion, which I don't share, you joining that small select band on here that believe everything they say is the only truth They are not inflammatory comments, he was speaking his mind, why are they inflammatory, they didn't inflame me, if they did to you, do you want to explain why in a footy context
-
Why is he being played down back for GWS, what is the real issue?
-
That is my whole point which for a change you have so succinctly put, nobody on here has any idea about any of the above yet they want the Club to jump at the next "messiah", we have pages and pages of orgasmic ponderings, me I prefer to wait and see how the rest of the season unfolds, If Cameron's attitude when chasing Vickery at the weekend (highlighted by Gary Lyon) is him showcasing his talents...then no thanks...we have gotten rid of our sooks Not all change is good
-
Suffering from memory loss or don't really read the posts?.....Laughable
-
I have the same feeling, Sheedy was in his later days a bit of a 'friendly uncle' to the boys of GWS, Cameron has come in and needs to stamp his authority, sound familiar?, and he has surrounded himself with untried and inexperienced assistants, sound familiar? Neeld/Watters/Voss come on down
-
You would recognise that would you? The point being every time a player goes onto the market there is an orgasmic explosion on Demonland and if the Club don't follow the baying there is whinging and whining, my point how do we keep all our good players if we blow half the salary cap on one player? They will to keep them if they keep developing the way they are, my point
-
So everybody loves Cameron, and Viney and JKH and Nathan Jones, and Salem and Tyson and Frawley and Tommy Mc and now Dunn, how much money do you think the Club has at the moment with just 35000 members and now no support from the AFL....the Geelong and Hawthorn models are based on players all being on equal salaries and playing as a team, so was Sydney until Roos left
-
What so 'supporters' can then say "we get told nothing" "we should be kept informed" "the Club just doesn't want to involve supporters"...these sound familiar?
-
Emotional Intelligence - yet another trendy buzz word, seen this at work as well, it means nothing but a phrase to hide behind there are a couple of things lacking in modern society, intestinal fortitude and common sense, if they can't stand public criticism they have certainly picked the wrong industry
-
Which bit don't you get, they got the best for playing half a game, the whole team was terrible in the second half, McKenzie was one who got away from criticism by both Welsh and Allison yet he doesn't get in the best, laughable, on Georgiou, for someone with AFL experience now, he had a very poor game unfortunately. The only thing apart, from maybe Fitzpatrick, they were putting their hands up for was at least another week at Casey Agreed, they are getting paid to perform
-
So you are not impressed that in the last couple of years how he has turned Dunn into the reliable consistent defender he is, how Tom Mc is coming on leaps and bounds, Garland gone from Humprey to Leadership Group and straight back into the team when fit, ensuring the club kept Nev Jetta, a decision that is being vindicated etc etc....you must be a hard marker or alternatively not recognize a good coach, have you ever thought he is happy were he is and has no desire to thrown his hat in the ring anywhere else
-
So what happens if GWS turn it around and put in a credible performance against the Hawks, does this 12 pages then count for nothing, I can remember the Brisbane Bears and this time last year we were being talked about in the same tones, how times have changed

Can't help yourselves really can you, the negativity has to appear doesn't it, can't you just say the reviews were good and it is nice to see the Club letting us know the thoughts of the Senior Coach and the 2 captains, then again!!!
-
I thought we had to learn from the past, that's what I keep getting told in my posts, obviously changed now.
-
Akum my quote won't work, I said there were a minority who wouldn't buy in, I only said Watts was the main one, I didn't name other names, but it is obvious Jamar is another one, I will stand by my superficiality, can you come up ith something apart from just saying I am wrong?
-
BB, don't mind this at all, it is healthy debate, I did pass on the info on Michie and McKenzie in other topics, Riley was rewarded for his absolute dedication when coming back from a broken leg and putting 4 or 5 consistemt games together and doing exactly what he was told to do There are a couple of players that are not happy under the Roos regime, but you will always get that there are 46 of them, every workplace is like that (that is what formed the basis for the Welsh statement about whingeing)
-
I know exactly why Michie and McKenzie were dropped and Riley was promoted. I don't want to keep revisiting the past but the Neeld approach was overblown, there were probably about 6 players who wouldn't buy in to his message, Watts being the most obvious, the rest just wanted to play footy, there were way more other issues in the last couple of years than just being shouted at My whole point in this, is we have always had the reviews, in the past posters on here continually whinged about them being fluff pieces, now we get a bit of truth the same posters are now horrified........they are appearing so you can safely assume Roos. Mahoney and Jackson do not have an issue, and if it is ok with them it's ok with me
-
It wasn't an argument per se you made a categorical statement which went against everything I had been told and saw, we both have sources of information, but we also both have to temper what we have been told, in a couple of instances from last year, with the wonderful hindsight I now know I was lied to, but hey that's in the past move on I think it may be part of a strategy, any coach (as we have seen in the past) can say anything and we have to take it on face value, Roos has continually stated he is trying to build a 'culture' (a word I personally hate) with standards that have to be met, if you are playing in the AFL side consistently it means you are meeting those standards consistently, if you are not you are told, the supporters are told, the media are told what you need to do to reach those standards......there are no chinese whispers about players not being picked because the Coach doesn't like him, or cliques of players deciding who should or who shouldn't be in the team..........
-
No

I am trying to get you information, it's not condescending, you seem to be overly concerned (in my opinion) that players are not being treated equally, if you want a question answered I'll ask them, I usually get an honest answer
-
I am going to go to training again next week before they leave for Alice, who would you like me to ask and what, it seems to be getting to you
