  1. You've only just realised that Nash, I don't say they suck, I say there is small vocal majority on here who bombard each thread with their pessimism and negativity after a loss and tend to deride anybody who does not share theit rather shallow view of everything. I get rather bored with it, I skim past most of their posts, but unfortunately occasionally the Liverpudlian in me comes to the fore and I find the temptation to bait them to hard to resist, some don't even attend the games live and you will find them parroting the latest theory espoused by one of the so called media experts my attitude I go along hoping the team will put in a competitive effort each week, if it doesn't it will lose my take on the weekend just gone we still can't maintain the rage over an extended period of time watch the media this week if St Kilda, who are in a similar stage of development to us come out and get belted because of the same reason ,
  2. Customer service, yes, but working in the industry, if you are aggressive I never said that chap, other posters said I did, I don't name call, apart from a couple who deserve it, I said I flowed personally into the stadium in under 12 minutes after joining a line at a gate, had my bag checked, got wanded and then walked up the ramps to my seat There were queues that weren't moving and they were for purchasing tickets, if you have a membership or pre purchase your ticket you don't have to wait
  3. Nah, I just walked, There is always a small minority that will complain if they have an issue, the majority of fans made it into the stadium and back out with the minimum of fuss, as I said in another post, whingeing and complaining is in the DNA of some Dees supporters. Must have been to god knows how many games at Etihad, including yesterday, and never ever had a problem. As I was going through the gates at 1.35pm and the line I joined flowed straight through, couldn't see where the issue was/is
  4. Again a mistruth, thought you were a lawyer only interested in the truth, Ticketmaster does not charge a fee for Print at Home, there was no crash at Etihad yesterday, I checked, urban myth by some to justify why they don't like the stadium. Poor customer service, ah yes, the old I will be immediately aggressive towards the person who is going to help me and expect them to be receptive to helping me Ah yes the technological failure, anything that has a card or database can fail just by the sheer size and complexity, airline checkin, banks, Telstra if you can put your legal career on hold and come up with a foolproof system you could clean up
  5. tYPING too fsst for my gingers Dizzy
  6. Either get a membership or buy your tickets before the game, I have never had an issue of being late into Etihad and as I stated before I have never missed the first bounce and I have never missed a game at Etihad and the last rew I have usually had a commitment that kept me from getting in until 15 minutes before the game
  7. I assume you were hopping or walking backwards, talk about bulldust 1.95% is card fees if they are there at all, as I said the banks doing, your industry? As for pre game I was on the footbridge at Etihad at 1.30pm (I had a commitment) and was sat in a seat on Level 3 at 1.42pm ready for the first bounce (I can give you witnesses if you like precious)
  8. So how is the hairshirt today SWYL, nice and itchy I hope, only 1 in 64 gee the way you behave I thought you were good friends with Methusela, we just lacked effort yesterday, with us being 'young' in games experience I am expecting that every few games, we will still get a few good wins this season
  9. Cheap shot Worked in the inustry, both are agencies , in this case for AFL who set the price, both only charge handling fee coz they are not charities, also card processing fees lay with the banks You can buy tickets weeks before on the phone, internet or at outlets, forward planning is a lost art amongst the general populace Turning up less than half an hour before a game, and expecting no queues for purchasing tickets is naive Clubs and AFL supply listings of barcodes and comp tickets, always fluid and prone to error, hence system issues Like to share your industry, like real estate, building, car mechanic, insurance, health fund
  10. Roos never said there was a selection issue, some have misinterpreted as such
  11. Oh please, turn up in a reasonable time, and at the end the foot traffic was moving smoothly out up the footbridge towards Southern Coss and Bourke St, nitpicking to the extrem
  12. Sorry chap this is the modern game, cause the turnover and rebound, or launch of half back with the switching, it requires 18 man defence and gut running, yesterday we did neither and got caught out continually, last week we did it to Richmond
  13. I just get a bit bored with the general whingeing about Etihad, it is in the city precinct right next to a major transport hub, I got out of the ground and up to the top of Latrobe St in less than 15 minutes yesterday
  14. Exactly, it is just footy though, went to game, after first few minutes realised it was going to be one of those games where we were just outworked, Roos wants an 18 man defence, yesterday he didn't have that......positives were Hogan, Viney's consistency, Petracca showing a couple of things, and not losing by a huge margin, and still kicking nearly a hundred points whilst playing poorly
  15. The reason people miss the start is that they turn up at 1.40pm for a 1.45pm start without tickets and expect to get a ticket straight away and be in their seat within 5 minutes. Just out of interest by the way Geelong have a 'home' game at Etihad this year
  16. Are you more than a metre wide?
  17. That is pathetic, you prefer your sociopathic personality obviously
  18. MFC supporters whingeing and sooking is in the DNA of some me haven't missed a game at Etihad since we started playing there
  19. Agreed that is my OPINION on some of the posters on this board Dunny has been through the bloody hard times with this Club and deserves to be there if the Footy Dept thinks he is good enough to hold down a spot
  20. Why leave the puerile comments about Martin WJ freedom of speech or selective censorship.
  21. Gee, this is nice, makes the 39 on my guernsey, which I have had there for 6 years, even shinier, Nev was plagued with shoulder and ankle injuries in his first few years and was shoved around in positions he wasn't suited for, always regarded himself as a defender/half back. He expected to be delisted when he was, but hoped that there may be a rookie spot offered, was able to get through a pre season for the first time at MFC and hasn't looked back since, but sign of the times, was told in no uncertain terms that he was to improve his running ability over the last off season, believe he came back in such a shape and improved running times that even the training staff were shocked Loves the challenge of going up against the 'small fwds', but with the rotations now is expected to stand anybody hence he was with Cloke and Daniher in last few weeks, meaning also he was not solely to blame for Boomer getting off the leash On top of all that he is a proud indigenous person, and a lovely bloke off the field, but then again I am bias
  22. I get sick of the negativity I often wonder why some even bother to support the team if it brings them so much misery, that being said the biggest pontificators after a game usually haven"t even watched it they just whinge because that is their raison d"etre
  23. Please what would the perpetual whingers on here do then, this is game day thread and it is already 2 pages of whining if we turn up and compete for 4 qtrs we may win if we don't we will lose and deservedly so me I am having brekky before going to watch Petracca beat up Collingwood seconds as a warm up
  24. I used to go to most training sessions, never remember Dank being there, and I knew most of the backroom staff Dank has changed his story so many times, I am astounded that ASADA take him seriously, I thought he refused to say anything to them originally? Sam Newman (who I normally don't listen to, I put the TV on mute) summed it up the best on the Footy Show I know Dank was hawking his wares around the clubs, mainly on the strength of what Robinson was supposedly doing to the fitness at the Bombers
  25. Gee I did the same ACL 3 times and played on, benefit of the best surgeons the Army could buy these days the knee takes great delight in not locking after I have been sitting a while good fun
