You mean like calling players [censored] or idiots or other posters morons I said if we competed we would win we didn't and lost quite simple I knew we were done half way through first quarter and least we limited the damage bombing the ball in will never create goals all the rubbish about Hogan I would have got frustrated with the delivery BenKen N Jones and Jetta about the only three who competed for 4 qtrs

Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons

MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 2, 2016

You just had a personalised crack at me, so what you wrote is incorrect, you really do need to read some of your posts before you actually post them, as I said if you don't like what I post don't read them, it is not going to break my heart......white knight, armour is a bit rusty and creaky for that -

Wow, from you, did u blush when typing that public board suck it up sweetheart, astonished that hate is used on this board so often such a destructive word, this is only footy -
MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 2, 2016

Daisy the whole board and its members need some serious help Sylvia Saint and the hatred of Daniher didn't know Joe had run over his cat -
All of the above making sure players actually listened to what was being said Dunny was another hence why he was a VC last year Matt Jones not the most vocal but respected by team mates
-
So it is a dream allowing not so veiled criticism of a 2 game player? Impressive
-
He was always the one along with Viney when he arrived and Nate Jones trying to lift the standards, especially at training, I should know attended quite a few, it is not his fault if players didn't follow the lead
-
I love all the love for Matt Jones, he knew he had to work on his game, gone away worked in the off season, came back and had an excellent pre season, knows he is not a lock in so will be attempting to produce the same as Round 1 on a consistent basis........I said he would be in the Rd 1 team in October all going well
-
Of course forgot who I was typing to............footy dinosaurs..............talking of which is the above similar to the one eyed dinosaur the doyouthinkhesawus
-
Mein gott in himmel, had to go to Google thesaurus there for a second, again this is a public forum, so if I don't agree with an opinion, it doesn't necessarily equate that I hold a position that is weaker than yours...it just means it is a position that you don't agree with
-
The comparison is young guys in a strange environment with its own set of unique values, standards and rules.......with a set hierarchy with them at the bottom
-
BBO, you are probably right, it is not my tender morality though, just don't see the point in the booing or name calling, bit too childish for me, found the booing of Scully on Saturday highly amusing, had a real impact on him didn't it, put him right off his game NOT..........but as long as it made people feel good then great.....personally I am always in a good space
-
No I just feel this has been done to death over the 3 or so years it has been dragging on, we had a good win on Saturday, why do we need to spoil the upbeat vibe we now have as a club after so many years of misery, let's just enjoy the game and cheer our team, if we have a good solid competitive win, that will do me If you think booing or name calling will actually achieve anything then you are very naive, unless you actually need it yourself to make you feel good (some booed Scully on Saturday, had a real effect on him didn't it) The true 'guilty' people in this whole sorry saga will never be brought to account, let's get over it and just get on with enjoying the footy I go to the footy to enjoy it, I look away when Tommy Mc goes on one of his mazy runs, I slap the chair in front of me over a poor umpiring decision, I clap good pieces of footy and cheer and applaud goals, and stand up and sing the song with gusto if we win But booing, name calling, etc........nah, could be the lack of alcohol in my system of course, but stopped that in the schoolyard many years ago
-
Ah my old bitter and twisted SWYL, the sooner you get visited by the ghosts of past present and future the better, do you need something to hate on a daily basis? Agree, but I tend to compare the Footy team environment to the Army environment I experienced for a few years, you learnt not to question and sometimes wore the consequences of not asking, but I was not universally condemned for being naive or following orders
-
That is part of my point as well, because Hird (the Messiah) was involved, the administrators let him do what he liked, the players are the least to blame in this whole fiasco
-
No, but it says more about the Essendon support than us, if we joined in in any way we would look the same, this is only footy, all this "convicted drug cheats", if you are naive enough to think in this day and age that any professional sport is clean with the amount of money involved, then so be it, I'm not. But I am one who thinks after all the publicity sacrificial lambs were required and they couldn't get near Dank or the Weapon or even Hird so they made it the players. As far as I am concerned, we would have players at our club, who if told by coaches to do something, would do it without question
-
I know this is a public forum but this thread brings nothing but disrepute to the board, it is like reading a high school board, grow up, cheer you own team and hope for a resounding win
-
Who do you think will also debut for us in 2016?
Satyriconhome replied to Left-Field's topic in Melbourne Demons
I had a good chat to Liam Hulett on Saturday, told him his main job would be to look after the Weed in the VFL, laughed said he is itching to play and start banging bodies, he is a seriously built 19 yr old, they have put no expectations on him whatsoever, just want to "listen and learn" the Roos mantra. Going to play him as a forward to begin with but also told him he will need to develop versatility, another Roos mantra -
The one big difference.....when he breaks loose and looks up, he has 2 or 3 options to give it to.....nobody standing still or surrounded by opposition players....Watts and Jones being allowed to be the player they have been all along because we have improved across the board
-
Not carrying the expectations on his shoulders or the burden of multiple losses how he has survived the constant barrage of criticism is beyond me, as Leigh Matthews said the other night, he has also matured
-
I will disagree slightly Roos and the coaches give the players half a dozen dot points ie their role they get immediate feedback on that aspect when they come off the ground been told that by quite a few my opinion on VDB based on 1 tackle usually one of his strong traits
-
Harmes listen to his interrview after the game which comes after the meeting "I played my role" he would have already had feedback calling for him to be dropped just to get Brayshaw in os silly Brayshaw needs a full run at Casey the one I thought was below par and ran out of petrol yesterday was VDB lucky that tired kick was sheperded thru by Hogan
-
Oh Dazzle you are wonderful your posts always cheer me up I thought Tom McDonald led the defence superbly as well yesterday your thougths?
-
The only difference this season is that Jack Watts has 21 mates playing their role and yesterday we won so no need for a whipping boy although Dom Tyson seemed to go close
