The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Satyriconhome replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
That is utter tosh, his jumper comes out about four or five inches and he was jostling with the guy, any excuse, I reckon we just lynch him and get it over with -

So the defender pulling the front of his jumper had nothing to do with getting him off balance, or did you prefer to ignore that to justify your post -
Rohan Connolly shames pathetic Dee's and Tiges

But you have consistently said, and berated me for not agreeing with you, that the Flag is all that matters, so therefore if they don't get a flag this year, and the same goes for the other 7 in the finals that don't, they have achieved exactly what MFC has done this year, so no room for admiration -

But you are consistently berating the club for not achieving success, particularly since 1964 and yet the Bulldogs have the potential in a couple of weeks to not have achieved it for ten years longer, yet you said you would be satisfied, don't quite follow the logic -

But they haven't won a flag, that seems to be your raison d'etre for supporting, so they have let you down again -

So say you were a Bulldogs supporter and they go out in the first final, which means they haven't seen a flag for 62 years, how would you feel then, satisfied with the season? -
Scott Thompson - Would we welcome him back?
Satyriconhome replied to The Backyard Charizard's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nah, they are old, wouldn't glisten in the preseason spring sunlight correctly, besides which we might draft an Aryan like Adonis -

No...he is 34, would delay the development of a young midfielder by 12 months minimum -
I have a vague recollection of that, but seemed to have erased most of the detail from the memory banks

Bit like Demonland, somebody who sad lonely people with borderline sociopathic tendencies and a need to take 22 men/women kicking a piece of leather round a field way too seriously, can communicate with, and most of the time get the answer they want to hear
-
I think that was more show Worsfold was always going to get the gig
-
There isn't, but may just go back to being a knowledgeable (38 years) footy watcher, with a bit of inside info and chat to pass on, besides which have a rule with the players that I don't approach them 'off duty' unless they approach me, so the stools are out, it will be just the discarded napkins and the odd cigarette butt that Max may accidentally leave
-
He has been bitten once, can't see him wanting the grief again, Jade Rawlings may be approached
-
Or as weak as the [censored] pouring out here, never had Friday drinks after you have put in a [censored] week at work?

What if we had got him and Max Gawn fell across his leg in the first training session and put him out for the season.....hindsight meh!!
-
Agreed but it is par for the course for post season Demonland, the Capital of Hindsight Country

Two teams who have promised so much both get belted on last day, let's write an article about them stating the obvious that should earn my pay for this week Me, didnt bother reading it, have already moved on looking forward to draft and trade and Casey's run in the finals nobody died it's just footy we get another go next year -
Yes we had a running joke with me, Fitzy and the wonderful Dean Bailey about who could present the most ridiculous haircut/beard at training, Dean was not a fan of ether mine or Fitzys until Fitzy wimped out and got a regulation haircut
-
Good on Fitzy, we delisted him, he got picked up by a club who has a history of playing journeymen in a role, sent him a tweet wishing him luck before the game, he replied thanking me
-
Ears I was thinking another part of the anatomy part of the evolution of a club is to grow the leadership along with everything else Gawn Viney etc will be better for this year It is all about instant gratification with some, if you take your time and learn better ways to do it the feeling of satisfaction will last longer
-
I agree but on here it is hold breath and stamp foot I WANT IT NOW

Great leaders are born I dont regard any sporting leader as a great lead You can make leaders though on the sporting field Nick Riewoldt is probably the example that most people use as an example of an on field leader by his actions, Nathan Jones attempts to do the same difference between the two, the players and coaches they were/are surrounded by whilst they develop/developed their leadership skills both on and off field, same with Joel Selwoid and Luke Hodge Viney if and when he assumes leadership will have been 'tutored' properly
-
I am afraid to say that most people wouldn't know what a great leader was even if they bit them on the arse
-
Yes, and it will continue to happen, because even if we have a revolution, whoever gets into power realises there is money to be made. Me I love having a chat to the socialists who hand out leaflets in Bourke St Mall or spout forth outside the State Library, ah the naivete

Legal slavey, you mean children for Northern India and Bangla Desh being 'sold' to owners of clothing factories, or girls from the outlying Phillipine islands having the same thing happening to them to make the NIke and Adidas runners we all like wearing
