Nah I asked it ages ago when posters were continually on about him supposedly carrying extra also asked Misso wouldn't be on the list if he didn't pass muster these days
-
I have actually spoken tp him about his size, he is at the weight the club wants him to be, they like the size he has for the roles he is asked to play Of course that could change this pre season
-
This topic is definitely the Demonland Hindsight award winner for this month love the off season roll on trade week "what the [censored] have MFC signed him for?"
-
Greg Stafford MFC ruck coach still looks in good nick, so if we get desperate
-
We don't need a backup ruckman, we have one, Mahoney said fwd/ruck if we can find one, Hannatth was delisted for a reason, MFC could have easily delisted Spencer but they didn't, that should tell you something
-
RIP Rebecca, had opinions and stuck with them, no matter the flak, class lady and journalist

What Nasher posted

McEVoy is a pure ruckman, Vickery is a disaster in the ruck, you forgot 2 metre Peter but still less than 50% of the teams have 2 'large' ruckmen, would assume the game will go up another level again next year so you will also need to be an aerobic beast as well
-
I think it is more along the lines of having at least 2 or even 3 to cover each position, club doesn't think Dawes is the answer anymore so are looking at replacing him, and the comment that his position will be looked at after trade period, if we are unsuccessful can see him being on 1yr contract if he wants it as cover
-
Agreed Watts shouldn't be in the ruck, but he can do it. 200cm ruck/fwd are not the norm although there are some, Gawn or Spencer need the occasional chop out and naybe taking the ruck up forward so you just need a guy who can compete and kick a goal now and again, doesn't have to be a star, just play a role, hence my suggestion on Hulett
-
Gee Mahoney said we are 'looking for a fwd/ruck? like many other clubs, and now everybody on here says we need one. Agreed it would be nice to get another option but Watts and Pedersen can play that role, who know if Hulett keeps growing and developing he could be an option as well But I have yet to see a decent option put forward, I have tried looking there is not much out there, Some like Vickery, yes a change of clubs might do the trick but has always struck me as not being a team man during games and lazy in defence
-
I would eat my membership scarf if the club even enquired about Minson
-
Cool so it was a manager alert, just think we will have to be creative to land an experienced one
-
You are misreading what he said, means Hibberd and Melksham will add more experience, will probably free up Jones and Vince from the back as well Pedersen can play down back and we also have one of the best developing swingmen in Jack Watts Did Mahoney specifically say we are looking for fwd/ruck, coz if we are not going to be as active in trade period not sure where we are going to get an 'experienced' one from, unless Taylor has done his magic again

Jesse Hogan re-signs to end of Season 2019
Satyriconhome replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Like I said, a 21 yr old weighing up his career and future, good to see the club showed him it was MFC for next 3 years -
The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Satyriconhome replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was comparing forums with a Carlton fan in work this morning, some of the posts on Bryce Gibbs' possible move to Adelaide, make some in this thread appear tame by comparison -
Liberatore and Hunter were father/son, Jackson Macrae was pick 6, Boyd was pick 1, Stringer was pick 5, Boyd and Morris have been off the rookie list for about 10 years with a couple of hundred games experience each, Roughead and Dunkely were in 20/30's and of course Bontempelli was pick 4 but like any list it has been moulded with players traded/drafted/rookied from all levels, similar to what MFC are trying to do
-
I would assume Tex and Josh are on $1M, not sure about Mr Jenkins gee thought Kennedy was a natural forward his Colemans say that
-
Tex Walker, Josh Kennedy, Josh Jenkins
-
Forgot Vandenberg, Stretch and Spencer and Mitch King....the backline would be Mac x 2, Hibberd, Frost, (Vince), Jetta, (Jones) (Hunt) (Salem) Wagner, Smith, White, Garland?, Pedersen, Lumumba, Dunn? Forwards would be (Hogan) (Watts) (Kent) (Pedersen), Dawes? JKH? (Garlett), BenKen, Weideman, Hulett, Spencer, (Gawn) Unless we have maybe found another young fwd/ruck? we like, reckon draft with upgrades plus Hibberd
-
From what I can glean and if all are still on the list, this is a listing of players who Goodwin and the coaches see rotating through the midfield going forward and that includes the ruck and wing Jones, Viney, Oliver, Tyson, Melksham, Vince, BenKen, Bugg, Hunt, Garlett, Salem, Petracca, Brayshaw, Newton, Michie, Hogan, Harmes, Watts, Gawn...probably forgotten somebody............reckon with Hibberd coming in we will use other picks on young kids unless Taylor has found a gem somewhere again
-
Eeeekkk much as I like the fact that we seem to be getting Hibberd, the mail seems to suggest our second round pick will be sufficient, think Essendon don't need the hassle, I don't think we would have traded away our first round pick if we were that desperate to stay in the first round
-
I think Koby Stevens is like maybe Matt Jones and Dean Terlich, can fill a role at AFL level, but better at VFL level, we have BenKen, Michie and Newton who at the moment are all still on the list who can all fill the role, personally would prefer another couple of young guys to develop
-
Perhaps he considers like I do that Koby Stevens is not an improvement on the depth
