Unfortunately the vote givers, be they either the press or the umpires, have lost the ability to vote on who has the most impact in the game. They just look at the stats so it will remain a midfielder's award until something changes.
Yes, Pies played well but after about the !st 15 minutes Tiges went completely into their shell and became completely reactive. Once you do that in this game it's game over. They were pretty much out numbered at the contest from then on. As long as we do our homework and don't fold like the Tiges we are a big chance if we win today.
Best game of the year to have to go to Perth. Why, because the 6 umpires that officiate this weekend all want the grand final gig. Suspect any umpire who shows he can be influenced by the crowd will have a line put through his name.
