  1. If they are issuing tickets later today or tomorrow, I have 3 memberships at home that I cant use. Happy to provide the details to anyone who wants them, but wont be home to get them till 6.30pm Actually, the little mrs is home today, so if anyone wants a number, let me know. faulty edit: is it just the number on the back of the membership card? unsure....
  2. You cant just buy a couple of Tier 1 tickets?
  3. Agree with this. It's been nice to see the seemingly sudden development of Sam Weidemann, with his ability to give Gawn a rest, but surely we should be looking for a capable backup for a long term Gawn injury. Its been proven how important he is to us, and we would certainly find it much much harder to be a flag winner without a full time ruckman in the middle. We are about to challenge for a Premiership, so a mature ruck backup is needed now.
  4. We hit the finals in 1987 with a wet sail, and proceeded to destroy Norf and Sydney in our first 2 finals. Confidence is worth many goals. This is an important game for more than just ladder position.
  5. Oliver will be offered $1.5m p.a by another team (most likely Norf) before his contract is up. He is the superstar that 18 teams are looking for.
  6. I really wish people wouldn't jump to that conclusion every time an indigenous player was involved in a fracas. Having said that, it was strange to see Nev so angry. Would be interested to know exactly what the problem was. I was mentally punching LeCras in the side of the head every time nev gave him a jumper punch.
  7. Disagree Oscar has shown MUCH better kicking ability than big brother did in his first several years in defence, to the point where he can be relied on most times to find a target, and gets to plenty of contests. For his age and size, he is progressing very nicely. Just needs a heap more strength, and we will have a first class tall defender.
  8. A captains moment. Something that Jones has not had too many of over his career.
  9. Think you are getting ahead of yourself 55 Every person who posts here (with the possible exception of TGR) supports the club. You don't get to pick and choose how people voice that support, or indeed their disappointment. I also think everyone knows we are headed for a quite successful period over the next several years. Looking forward to a massive Dees presence in the stands in week 1 of finals.
  10. Judd is right. We should have quietly trudged off the field and practised our eye gouging techniques.
  11. If I had 10 attempts over 2 weeks of thinking time, I couldn't come up with anything better than this to describe the phenom that is Oliver. That 3rd qtr effort was nothing short of Superstar.
  12. So typical of the virtue signalling AFL Seriously, What the absolute f does this fl.og have to do with football? A politician criticises the ideology of islam, and the league thinks it should leap to the defence of its 2 islamic players. Good god they make me sick.
  13. Rigged? omg, how embarrassing. I've seen the replay a few times also, and I must admit I think we were given an incredibly soft run from the umps also. Many free kicks that should have been paid against us, that were not. I would not expect the same umpiring if we play them again during finals.
  14. Thanks Mrs Ox, much appreciated. Don't know why, but it always seems strange to see a player/former player cheering like a regular Joe. Great viewing. Hope he gets to cheer a finals victory also.
  15. Poor bastard. I grew to despise the sight of yellow and brown balloons come September. Will be strange to see the Grand old Flag in the stands in week 1 of the finals. Will be very interested in watching for any changes to the team mindset next week. Will we sit back and say our job is done, or does the prospect of an imminent final push our list to greater heights? Next 2 weeks will be compelling viewing. Something very strange for this time of year.
  16. Kudos to all those people who backed us to make finals after last week, brother @ding included. Didn't see even one minute of the game live. Had (mostly) conceded prior to the bounce, and headed out with the lovely wife to meet 4 perfect strangers for dinner for the first time. Nephew from Perth sent me 50 Viber messages with scores/plays/hopes/wishes. Pain in the ass (legend actually), but I lived the game through him. Enjoy this fellow Dees fans, as you have never seen a Melbourne team with the potential of this one. Don't underestimate what this could mean in the way of Free Agents also.
  17. Can see it now. "Who has the best midfield?" threads, with norf supporters talking up some nobody side into second, so they can then type a novel about why they are number 1 "Cunners, Zeibs and Benny J cutting the packs open, and feeding the ball to Gaffer and Joshy K. Wow, we will be invincible!" Norf suporters are my favorites.
  18. Eagles by minimum 20 points, with the free kick count to them being higher than our inside 50's Not putting myself through the mental anguish of watching the game.
  19. SATY WILL BE DELIGHTED!!!!!!!)(*&^ HE NEVER RATED GAFF ANYWAY!!!! :0 CAN'T LIKE ANYONE'S POSTS FOR SOME REASON!!! CONSIDER YOURS LIKED........!!!!!!....
  20. WOW PICKET, THAT'S TERRIBLE NEWS!!!!!!! !!!!!! HOW DID YOU LEARN THAT ????!!!???????!!!????!?!?!?!??!
  21. So many angry people here, when Wallace has simply pointed out the obvious. We choke against the top sides, and are found out when a team applies constant physical pressure. We are the definition of a front-running side. We have two chances to turn that around, and I cant see us winning either game based on what I have seen thus far.
  22. There is a mental weakness that is ingrained over 5 decades of miserable failure that we just cannot seem to shake. Seems that no player or coach, either home grown or imported, has been able to lift the team into the realm of relevance. I am expecting a gallant loss to the Eagles this week, followed by a hammering at the hands of GWS in the last round. Then its the standard 2 months of anger before looking to the trade/draft period yet again for hope. The embarrassment of following this club continues for yet another year.
  23. Swans by 20 A good test of the learnings from the Collingwood game from last round 2017. Are we all talk?
  24. Dont think there would be a single person who wouldnt have been able to pick the top 3. Proves that the umpires are often heavily influenced by the size and craziness of the crowds. Outliers being Richmond and Essedon. God damn it would be hard being an opposition supporter in Perf. It's a different planet over there.
