  1. Premierships are often won by clever recruiting. To find the "bottom 6" on the list who can make a difference at the pointy end of the season. Jordon is almost an automatic selection now. Can run. Can tackle. Can read the play. Can kick. Can handball. Defends like his like depends on it. The type of selection who defines a recruiters career.
  2. Yeah, Petty is progressing very nicely isnt he? 197cm key defender who can judge the flight and take a one grab mark. Worth his weight in gold.
  3. A Melbourne side like I have never witnessed before.' I hate to say it but I actually think we can win the flag this year.
  4. Weid is a bust. Honestly would delist the bloke. Provides next to nothing.
  5. Yep, our mids have been [censored] insipid tonight. Oliver is unsighted. And sorry to say but a decades long Achilles heel has been brought to the fore tonight. We lack the mongrel to deal with a pack of dirty bastards like the Lions.
  6. I'll say it again. Jackson has concrete hands in a contest. It's bloody annoying.
  7. Point taken. Will buy a box/slab/carton tomorrow.
  8. It's the stuff we drank at Northerlies when you fled the bleakness of Victoria to freeload on me at my home in paradise at Airlie Beach. You seemed happy to drink them when I was buying them hand over fist. And no I don't because that would be illegal.
  9. Stone Wood ale for me. Or Great Northern for a cheapy.
  10. If he could hold a mark he would be a sensation. Much like Weid, when he runs at the ball with an opponent beside him, his hands turn to concrete.
  11. You guys drink V.B ewwwww
  12. You in western Sinney moit? Sick bro!
  13. Pick 36? Dreaming.......
  14. The Vic state government is the architect of this farce, and as such should bear the financial responsibility. No tin rattling before the government has poured its resources into the sport it helped to strangle.
  15. Looking at the very small video sample, he does not look anywhere near Hibbos maneuverability. He looks very much a large body defender. Still think if we are looking to a replacement for Hibbo, we should throw next years first round at Colonwood for Maynard. He can take the medium and bigs. Did not see the agility in the Turner video to do that. He is a big unit.
  16. Hi Declase clan. Welcome to the family. Would love some insight into your families reaction to him being drafted and whether he knew he would be picked up. Your boy looks a real unit. What side of the family does he get his sporting ability from? Go Dees.
  17. Turner family, welcome to the Dees. No doubt you will eventually read Demonland. Please excuse us for being a mouthy and critical lot. We mean well even if it doesn't seem that way. I can only imagine your pride at having a son drafted to an AFL club. Soak it up, enjoy the moment and encourage your boy to embrace the "team first" ethic that has put us on top of the ladder. Go Dees.
  18. Get a haircut you ugly bastard.
  19. Sounds like a backup for Lever. Love your work dazzle. Always appreciated.
  20. Does he have any mongrel in him dazzle? I like mongrel.
  21. Ok, so I guess we've now seen what the coaching team sees as the weak point (depth wise) of our list. Declase is a mature body, and bloody hell anyone who can roost a goal from inside the center square gets my attention. Turner is more the style/age of player I thought we would chase. A young "late developer" Don't know anything about them so won't get excited, but based on our recent recruiting efforts, maybe we should all smile a bit.
  22. It's the things that he doesnt do that have me doubting his AA ability. He is lazy af, refuses to chase, and only goes hard when he thinks a goal is in the offing. Come to think of it, maybe a DNA test of Russell Robertsons, and Baileys parents is required?
  23. Fritsch has been good, but he has also played 2 or 3 games where he has been an embarrassing liability. Not AA material at all.
  24. I've noticed that he is quite often capable of taking a 1v1 mark while standing next to his opponent, but absolutely hopeless in a pack marking contest where he needs to run at the ball. Always seems to run under the ball. Has the club assessed his depth of vision? Does he have a problem figuring out where the ball will land when he is running towards it? Maybe he needs a trigonometry tutor? Or maybe he is just not cut out to be a senior AFL footballer?
