That's like a re-enactment of a lunch break inside the truckies crib room where I work. Snorting and all. Just needed them to talk about fishing gear and boats to complete the picture.
  2. I suppose they will need the free babysitters around once the kid arrives. God knows how short of time the wife will be, with all of those time consuming Instagram pics to upload every day and whatnot. I'd hold the [censored] to his contract unless it was a clear win in a trade.
  3. Ah yes of course. That makes perfect sense.
  4. I seem to recall giving my barcodes to a poster on 'Land last time we made finals. Actually, I recall quite a decent discussion about it. Never had any problems with the person I gave the code to either. **If this is against club membership rules then it may be a figment of my imagination and should be ignored as completely untrue** ;)
  5. trying to post a screenshot of my email but it says the file is too large. Mine is not worded the same as yours and does not mention transferring the code to others. Only that I can purchase 8 tickets on each membership.
  6. I received similar emails for all of the memberships that I purchased. 8 person limit on tickets. also sends you your barcode. Seems legit.
  7. I'm not intending to come across as rude, but how on earth would you know?
  8. Are you old enough to have enjoyed the '64 flag?
  9. Holy cow, THAT's a welcome to the stadium. Love it.
  10. Don't take it so seriously kev. You're probably just a nicer person than I am..
  11. What a strange rant Kev. I just want the Dees to win this year's flag and won't be satisfied if we fail to achieve that. I couldn't give a rip about anyone's feelings on other stuff. That's your business.
  12. Nope. Let's [censored] them by 8 goals and make Port realise they are playing for the silver medal.
  13. Just wanted to retweet this.
  14. Thank Christ the club and its current players don't share this mindset. Winning Premierships is not just about the satisfaction of current supporters and members. It's about the long term prosperity and indeed survivability of the club's themselves. How long do you think Gold Coast or GWS will be around if they only play for fun and not to win? It's the essence of Professional sport. Strange mindset mate.
  15. You must be a teenager kev. That's all I can say.
  16. Read the entire thread. Seems as if most of the people saying they would be "satisfied" if we don't win the flag this year seem to think we are are some sort of inevitable trip regardless of failure this season. It very often does not work that way, especially with our mob. We simply cannot let this chance slip.
  17. Had very good lists under Swooper and The Rev too. Injuries played a big role in ending our chances back then. Make hay while the sun shines.
  18. Only a Melbourne supporter would be satisfied if we failed to win the flag this year. This is the best injury run I have ever seen and their are no other standout teams. We may never see a chance like this again. We must win it this year.

Interesting logic. He offended during a final, so that should be double the standard penalty, yeah?

West Coast syndrome. Let the players behave like rappers provided they keep bringing home the silverware.

Many would argue that calling an umpire "sir" is just that. Strange though that the biggest meat-head sports followers in the country think it's completely normal though. Id like to see a change in attitude towards the umps. Will take years however as it's part of AFL culture to rip the umpires.

Very real. I lived in Blackwater, a tiny mining town in central Qld for 8 years and watched the local teams play very often. It was the only name i heard the players call the officials in that time. I used to chuckle whenever a penalty was paid and a crowd member would shout, "he's been doing it all night Sir" A penalty could be paid against your team if the crowd mouthed off to the Refs in country football also. True story.

Say what you will about our sporting cousins in Rugby League, but they are all over us when it comes to referee (umpire) respect. Even in the country leagues the players call the ref "sir" when approaching them. And there is almost zero abuse such as we saw from Mitch Robinson as it results in penalties. I know some will think I've become all soft and woke but it's something I really would like to see creep into AFL football at all levels.
