Im thinking i might do what i do with Quaddies sometimes and take 1, 1, F, F. If the standouts get up, then its fun hoping for a roughy in the last 2 legs. Ive done ok with this method in the past at times.

Ah i found the NSW race feed, and watched the 2yo Race 3. http://www.racingnsw.com.au/ ....hard to believe theyre all born on the same day.....

That sounds like trouble D77, have fun at Casey.

Restless in the barrier, not his day. I pressed one of those buttons that allows you to miss a parlay leg, so no problem. Now, i did something Ive never done before, parlayed 2 quinellas....! At Caulfield, R6 Crystal Dreamer and Snitty Kitty, into R7 Willi Willi and Bedford. They seem like standouts, which worries me, but i thought id do it anyway. Racing.com doesnt have Rosehill?

Unfortunately ive been preoccupied the last few days. Ive had a bit of a look, but i cant add much to what has already been noted. Ill put a few trifectas on following along the lines of what has been said with regard to the Expressway Stakes. Also im gonna put a parlay on Sydney R1/2 R6/9 R9/8 place only. Ill come up with some more later and we can post as the day goes along. Good luck!

Havent had a look at Caulfield yet, but the Sydney races seem hard. Any idea on the track atm? Hopefully we dont get those dreadful tracks like we did when it was raining for weeks on end. Really ruined it. Dont mind R6 N9 Bye See.....3 runs in, place last start. (the old rule i mentioned)....remember......

Thanks and thats a really interesting list of High Chaparrals. I will be referring back to it from time to time......some top horses there. High Chaparral died in 2014, so there wont be anymore. But the last 2 Ace High and Rekindling may well be amongst the best. Yes its a hard one and maybe Gai and Bott with home ground advantage hold the key with Global Glamour atm. Had such a good strike rate in the spring, we are going to have to keep an eye on them every damn race now. Because of this they will often be favorites as well tho. Goodfella has the odds tho, i like it as well. I think your assessment is pretty good.

Yes, im with you D77, wont be far off them i dont think. Hes a High Chapparal and i had a look to see if any of the other prodigies had ever won over 1200. Looks like 1400 by Tivaci in 2012 in The All Aged Stakes is the shortest distance. Doesnt mean he cant set a new record or run a place. Will be interesting. Watch out for Ace high over the Mile to Mile and a half. ...and watch out Winx. Do we think this race is too short for Ace High? It has won over 1400m and came 2nd at 1100 in his first start...Orr Stakes is looking harder by the day.

It should be up, if there is a horse problem, then it should say betting suspended. The Commonwealth games has 4 events up......The Doncaster is up and thats in April. If they sell tickets to an event, the market should be up. Wake Up TAB>. I like getting on early, and putting the ticket on the fridge with a magnet! Its fun.
  14. Wadda We Sing replied to Toorak's post in a topic in Other Sports
Well i went down to the TAB to see if i could get on The Orr Stakes, and it wasnt up. I thought it would have been by now surely? TAB up to their usual shenanigans already?.....one day ill go get a bookie!

Well CF Orr Stakes huh, here we go. Two of my fav horses here in Tosen Stardom and Voodoo Lad. Tosen has placed over the distance 1400m and begins his journey to The Doncaster 1600 and The Queen Elizabeth 2000 both at Randwick in April. Voodoo Lad, 19 placings from 24 starts (10.7.2) has good form over this distance including a few wins. More will develop as we head toward the race in a week and a half.

Thanks to Macca for the suggestion. Thanks to Demonland for the thread title change. Cheers guys.

For the bigger races, i have been known to stop the entire club!

Yeah, we were blessed to live through that era. A lot of the grounds are still there, i hope they revisit it again. I played Lawn Bowls for many years on a Saturday, and would dash inside to watch some of the bigger races, much to the horror of my teammates and opposition!

Well spotted. Ill be following its every move.

I still think Saturday arvo is the best time for footy, but thats just me! Yes i really like that aspect to, as i often dont have a clue as to what race a horse had to go to prior and what it leads onto. Its a really great resource. Ive had a bit of a mixed bag over the years. There was time there when Caulfield was nearly impossible to pick. It seems to be a bit better these days. I guess ive had my best results at Flemington, but as i used to live in Elwood, i still consider Caulfield my local.

Awesome work Macca. Looks like things do hot up next weekend. This is what i mean about keeping this thread. Ive just realized how much information weve put together already. That is a really great calendar.

I guess when you think about it, Winx has already lost 6 races in her career, so a loss is not the end of the world, especially with regards to future breeding dollars. Shes won over 1100, 1200 and 1400 in her career, albeit early days, in fact her 1st four races were over these distances. She often trials over shorter distances, 900, 1100 etc. There must be some kind of form there, or they wouldnt nominate. With 12,000,000 on offer, a lot goes on behind closed doors, including a lot of pressure from Sydney racing people to get her to run in their big race. I would say yes, depends if she goes to Europe or not and what those results are like. Bit hard to see her running in The Everest 14th Oct and The Cox Plate 28th Oct 2 weeks later. So its probably a case of nominate for all, and then make decisions depending on results.

Well done guys, i was pre-occupied today, but i would have had Werther for a place. Nice collect for you. I like those trifecta combinations. Bring on the Autumn. Winx was 4.50 in her 1st Cox Plate.

Yeah, could be an idea i guess. Personally i like the idea of winning real money tho, kinda gets me more inspired. Maybe an actual punters club where we pick a quaddie and put it on, say 10 bucks each or something? Ive done it with mates in the past and have got some decent returns. What race kicks off the carnival? Is it the CF Orr Stakes? Thats in 2 weeks at Caulfield, so not long now! Also can anyone think of a reason why Winx is nominated for The Everest? Its a sprint isnt it?? Currently 16/1

Ok Macca, thanks......i will then. I was just wondering about the prize pools. Even though theyre big races in Japan (and also Europe later) what are the pools like? Is there much interest here? I just noticed Bowmans been suspended in NZ, so will not ride Winx in the Apollo Stakes.....interesting.
