I wish we had a player like Steven Morris. He shows more attack and desperation for the footy than anybody on our list. These are the kind of players we need to recruit.

Our midfield is rubbish. It;s where the game is won and lost these days, and it is why we will continue to lose. What I would give to have a player the likes of Priddis who can release others in close with quick hands. Who actually knows what he is going to do with the ball before he has it in his hands. Most of the good teams have 2 or 3 of these players. We have none. I lay the blame squarely on Neelds shoulders for this problem. While we have been recruiting the likes of Clark, Dawes and Hogan, our midfield remains abysmal. What is the point of recruiting big forwards if you are incapable of winning enough of the ball to get it to them. It's why I am not getting to excited about Dawes returning or Hogan next year. It wont make a difference to our team if the ball is not down there. If we get the No.1 pick this year, we should trade it to another team for an established midfielder and their first round pick to draft another midfielder. We seriously need help there.

Any chance we can just let Watts roam around the field and make other teams match up on him? Start him on a wing and then let him float back. If they but a midfielder on him to try and curb influence he may be having, send him forward and isolate him. He's not a defender, nor is he a KPF. But he is great with ball in his hands. Let him skirt around the edge of packs like Lewis Jetta does for the Swans. Lets get on the offensive and make teams try to stop him in a variety of methods. Its too easy to lock down on his use in the back half, and them isolate him in 1 on 1 contests.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but for those like me who can't make it, another way to get around the boys and give them a lift might be to use social media. A lot of players have Twitter accounts, so those of you who are on Twitter, lets flood their feed with messages of support for this weeks game and let them know their is still plenty of love out there, and maybe in a small way lift their confidence.

I'd prefer Sellar down back for Gillies. He doesn't have to worry about marking it, he can just punch it.

Gillies, Sellar or Jamar needs to take one for the team and go down with a fake LTI during the week so we can get Magner in to give our midfield half a chance. Those 3 players should be banished from playing for the Dees until at least after the bye round.

He did take over a team that had won 8 games with only 1 of the expansion teams in the comp, and we went back to 4 last year, and possibly 0 this year with the way we are playing. No matter what way you dress it up, he is not up to the task. And I think his pregame address confirmed what we all suspected anyway.

I think I am actually hating all the pity I am getting from friends who support other teams, more than the teams performance itself.

Here is a novel idea. Why don't we go back to something real basic, and try and get first hands on the footy, then we'll go from there.

That is why I didn't go to the game tonight. And I wont until changes are made. My kids don't need to go and watch our club die out there on the field. They may end up supporting them, but not if I take them every week to that garbage. I firmly believe that last year we were bad under Neeld, but now that he has had a further 12 months to infiltrate his way through the place we are even worse. I didn't think that was possible. It pains me to admit it. But the likes of Denham and David King have been right all along. I owe them an apology.

And yet David King keeps bringing up his name when talking about our mature recruiting instead of playing him.....

What about A. If we kick the ball from a behind out to Jamar just outside the 50 near the boundary line more than twice in a Qtr. or B. We continually ignore wide open players in the corridor, only to bomb it down the line on top of one of our forwards head who has worked his way up the wing 100 mtrs from goal. Either of these happen, I'm outta there.(in the first 10 mins probably)

I He started on the Half-Back for us, and I always liked him there, but it is worth remembering that Maric was flying for the Tigers in the preseason when he left us as well.

I think you are right, other than I believe it's a matter of opinion how damaging a couple of bottom feeder clubs manipulating lists and field positions late in the season is to the AFL.I actually believe that most fans of the game, like in other sports, understand the reality of the situation and don't really care one way or the other if their team is not involved. Wilson, and certain other media people make out like it's Cronje-style match fixing. That is the part I find utter rubbish.

If the crows are doing it, just about everyone is. It's just a matter of if you get caught. I would put my house on the bigger clubs, and most out of Victoria having dodgy payments to players. Do you think the Storm were the only team in the NRL to have 2 sets of books?
