I am not sure if cleaning out those players is going to make us a better team. But, i do think we won't be a consistently competitive team, until the likes of Jones, Bate, McLean and Dunn are our leaders. Going foward, i think ND needs to go. And Brock becomes captain if he can see the rest of the year out without injury. If Cam Bruce is next captain, we are goners.

White - second rate ruckman(but paid as a first)

We could have traded White a few seasons ago, like i said we should have, when he had some value. Overrated bigtime! Bruce should never be anywhere near a centre bounce, he gets thrown around like a ragdoll against a tough, strong team like the weagles. Ward, Brown and Miller need to be banished to Sandy for a long, long time.

The only thing i think Alwyn does better, is he has this great tackling technique, where he waits for the player to pick up the ball, then tries to pin the free hand while dragging them down so they can't effect a correct disposal.

Bruce does make some errors, but he can also hurt teams with some great play. Brown and Ward give you the errors, without much of the good stuff going the other way.

I just can't see the point in having a guy like Brad Miller being a key target up foward, if he can't kick goals. He has had a chance to really deliver without Robbo and Neitz, but i don't think he has done enough. We would get more value with Bate, Dunn and Sylvia roaming across the half/foward, foward line.

I am pretty sure Jones got a nomination late last year.

He reminds me a little bit of Wanganeen. At pick 30, we have definately got the steal of the draft (excluding the Tomahawk).

I think Godders brings a little balance to our midfield. IMO we don't have enough players at the MFC who are willing to get under the skin of opposing players and really niggle at them. Godfrey is one such player. We would all love him to be better skilled, but i would say that there are others on par with him skill wise.

Can someone tell me what happened with the Davey goal. No one at the Punt Rd end knows what happened, we all thought it was a goal?

I know White was given 3AW player of the game, but i am so disappointed in him for that passage of play that led to the Motlop goal. He strayed off his line, when in the middle of the ground, and then decided to give it off to the inexperienced Warnock which ultimately led to the winning goal. Maybe it's just because i'm not a Jeff White fan, but that was just not good enough for me. On a positive, I thought Pettrd was fantatstic. And improved performances from Bate, Jones and Sylvia.

1. Shaun Burgoyne outted for game this weeks game at the G(unless we get shafted at the appeal), where the Power have never beaten us. 2. If we win this week, we get the doggies coming back the west. We have had the wood over the Dogs in recent years. 3. We have lost 5 in a row at the end of te season and still made the finals. We may just be having our slump first up this year, and will hit september flying. 4. Obviously, many good players to come back into the fold. Which may spare us having to watch a few players run around that shouldn't be. 5. Davey back in form. 6. Ricky Pettard. Or alternatively, 7. No.1 draft pick. 8. Seeya ND.

I think the biggest compliment that was paid to Pettard was the fact that Michael Voss, commentating on CH 10, seemed to almost be in awe of how well he was playing in his first game. Voss had questioned Melbournes effort and commitment so far this season at the start of the game. So, to have one of the most courageous and "hard at it" footballers of the modern era commenting on how good Petterd looked. That probably tells me Pettard has the makings of an outstanding footballer.

I am going to give Colin Sylvia the benefit of doubt due to injuries. However, as much as we all would like to see him become the next Mark Ricciuto. I feel we may be seeing the next Dean Soloman.

I agree with this. White is the most overated player on our list. If we rucked with Jamar and Johnson, we would do no worse in the ruck or around the ground than we already are.

That debut for Pettard was better than any game i have seen Sylvia play yet.

I've just had to turn that crap off. First year i have bought a membership and i already feel like returning it after watching that SHITE!!! I now know why i enjoyed the A-League season so much.
