  1. That is a fair call. Would you prefer to play in a team that plays in front of 15-20 thousand, or 40-50? Let's hope a Jurrah and Watts combo will start bringing Demon fans back to the games, and also create some new supporters.
  2. This is slightly off topic, but would anyone consider trading our 2nd pick(Trengrove) to Port Adelaide for their first round pick(8 or 9) and Salopek? We could still get a Dustin Martin or Gary Rohan, or even Butcher if he slips with that pick.
  3. Wellman indicated on SEN today that Wheater and Whelan would be playing.
  4. He might be alright. I've heard he gets great top spin on his taps.
  5. Freak, where are you? Parma needs a friend.
  6. Could be a darkhorse for the B & F. He has played every game, and although he started a little slow, he has been fairly consistent this year.
  7. Malthouse likes to carry on about a winning culture, but go and check how many games they lost in a row at the end of the season that secured them Pendles and Thomas. Hawthorn looked horrible about 5 years ago, but managed to win a flag last year. Richmond are about the only team to have continued to suck it up due to poor drafting.
  8. Doesn't look like it has affected Murphy, Gibbs and Kruezer too much. Murphy didn't have to go to the Blues if he didn't want to, and Judd had a choice as well. Every team that finishes on the bottom looks bad. Scully will be loving that we are tanking so he doesnn't end up at Freo.
  9. This poll and thread is a good lesson to us all of how we can overrate our players sometimes.
  10. Something tells me we might not see those three play on Petrie though.....
  11. Hopefully Crocker falls into our trap and play Petrie forward without Warnock in, he should tear us apart.
  12. Maybe Bailey has a new position in mind for him. I was positive i saw him standing shoulder to shoulder with Deledio at a a centre bounce today. Another Bailey coaching masterstroke today !
  13. In 07 and 08 we won a combined total of 8 games. So if a team had won 4 and 4 in those same years why would they deserve a PP more than us? The system is there to help out teams that are down the bottom, i would argue that we deserved one last year, but the system didn't work in our favor. In essence i guess i am saying that we are now manipulating the system to get what we actually deserve.
  14. If we win this, it won't be Bailey and the coaching staffs fault, they are doing everything within their power to lose it. Richmond are truly awful, we at least have an excuse.
  15. I am sure he will quickly become more excited about spearing it in to the likes of Jurrah and Watts, as opposed to Reiwoldt, Morton or Post. Do i need to remind people also of Chris Judds supposed love of the MFC as a youngster? I don't see Buddy Franklin demanding a trade to the Demons even though he supported them as kid as well.
  16. I have taken Delidio as my Supercoach captain because i fully expect there not to be a hard tag on him.
  17. The Tigers might be good enough to beat us even with a few of our better players back. I would save the likes of Bail, Hughes and Zomer for the North and Freo games.
  18. Out: Jurrah, Davey In: Robbo, Bail
  19. 6. Morton 5. Petterd 4. Warnock 3. Rivers 2. Davey 1. Moloney
  20. Casey by 9 points 20 min mark 3rd qtr.
  21. It's a shame Buckley can't hit teammates like he splits the middle of the goals when he kicks on the run. I really enjoy watching Buckley play, and he is one of the few Melbourne players who can pick the ball up below his knees with speed and run away from packs, but his decision making is still a worry.
  22. Any chance we can get Kyle Mathews on our list next year and just stick him in our forward line to just tackle and harass the opposition? He is an absolute terrier, i love watching him play.
  23. Can you imagine how much love there would be for the likes of Miller or Newton if they finally came out and kicked a bag of 5 or 6 to win us the game when we least wanted them to.
  24. I would have to say Bate has improved his consistency this season. He got dropped late last season, so it's been a welcome return to form for the Master. Frawley has definitely stepped up this year, and Garlands injury has probably fast tracked his development by having him play on more dangerous forwards this season.
  25. I think selection this week will give us the biggest indication as to whether the coaching staff are interested in the priority pick or not.
