  1. You know it can boot straight to traditional desktop right? I really like Windows 8.
  2. Nooooo, don't go back to the dark side! Steam sale starts soon, should be enough cheap stuff to keep you away from WoW for a while. I think I got The Witcher 2 for like $3 last time.
  3. I once played WoW with a father and son, both of whom played rogues. We had to pick between the two for a raid, so the dad told his kid to go to bed so he could take the spot. True story. Online gaming - not just for 12 year olds.
  4. I had similar issues with my Nvidia doing the massive pvp stuff too. Invisible people everywhere. Fortunately I stopped playing the game before being forced to buy a new card How's the game now? I got bored after hitting end game a few months after release, there was nothing to do except wait for world dragons to spawn. Levelling experience was probably the best of any MMO I've ever played though.
  5. Which game? There aren't many around that would require a video card that expensive!
  6. lol, youtube took down part 2. no luck
  7. Looks like ology has open regos again. Just register there and go to full replays. Working for me :D
  8. Yep just found that out myself. Saw it working on my phone so got comfy on the couch with my tab, only see 1 minute. Pretty bad.
  9. Ah ha! They replay is working on the free Afl app. So we can watch it on a tablet or a phone. Close enough I guess.
  10. Hilarious. My normal less than legal source of replays only has a 1080p rip which is 14 gb. Screw that. Afl website not working for this game, all others are fine. Don't have an ology account. Sad panda.
  11. Not working for me either. If it's working by the time I get home it'll be time to fire up the good old torrents.
  12. The way I interpret it is they would be volunteering evidence against themselves. I'm sure Jobe Watson is doing this. With the duration of his injury he'll probably get "time served".
  13. I heard the head of ASADA speak on MMM this morning. To me it seemed he was preparing the public for reduced sentences. He said that the sanction is supposed to be 2 years, but it can be reduced to one year if the players can prove it was done without their knowledge. He then said there can be "further significant reductions" in sanction time if the players co-operate with the investigation and demonstrate they have provided truthful evidence to the investigators. IMHO, after hearing that interview, the players will end up with a 6 month sanction. Max.
  14. I was also in that room. He did indeed say we would be looking at bringing in a ruckman. He did not express anything negative regarding our current ruck stock, only that we will be looking at another one. The implication could be anything - Jamar's age, Gawn's injuries etc. But he didn't say. Dan Nicholson and Jake Spencer also spoke. Nicholson said the communication between Casey and the Dees is better this year, I sensed some tension when they were talking about the Casey/Melbourne relationship. Spencer seemed genuinely surprised that he was offered another contract, said he couldn't sign up fast enough as he loves the club. Also, he's [censored] huge.
  15. Barrett seems to think so. Someone associated with Melbourne is to blame for every bad thing that befalls the game of AFL, didn't you know?
  16. If this is the aim, they have a long way to go. The Telstra AFL app streams in varying degrees of quality, nowhere near full HD resolution. I will not pay for it again this year after being so disappointed with it last year. Looked crap even on a 10 inch tablet. Even the 'smart replays' that are on the AFL website 12 hours after games are horrible quality. I plugged my pc into my tv via HMDI and it was deplorable. Even on "high" resolution (they don't tell you what the resolution is btw), it still looks pixellated on a decent sized TV. I held out some hope that the NBN (despite its cost) would mean that so many people would have access to super fast internet that the AFL and Telstra would start streaming in better quality, but the NBN seems to be dying a slow death. Besides I think they'd all rather we just buy Foxtel and watch it on there. But then you need to buy the basic package PLUS the sports package. It's just too expensive for someone who only wants to watch one game a week for 24 weeks. It really is too bad the Optus decision went the way of the AFL and Telstra. This is probably another reason they are scared of the NBN - once people have huge upload capacity, one person with a new PVR and Foxtel would be able to live stream their content to other people. I'd be more than happy to buy a Telstra/AFL app subscription for the current price offered if it was high def and there was an easy way to stick it on my TV. Maybe they need to make a deal with Chromecast. That thing would sell like hot cakes if it came with access to all AFL games.
  17. lol, it's not that we ignore it, it's just that we've heard it so many times before from the club we know to filter it out as irrelevant.
  18. As I recall, some of the EFC players were used as testing subjects for some sort of study and weren't told. Whoever was running that study surely has records of what those subjects were given, dosages, timeline etc. I'll try to dig up a link. Edit: here we go: http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/bombers-players-were-treated-like-guinea-pigs-20130629-2p3x2.html Says that results were possibly passed on to external parties. If a third party was conducting a clinical trial, they MUST have data on it. Also says the EFC deny these claims, so it could all be hot air. Further clarification: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/afl/essendon-players-not-part-of-clinical-trial-pharmaceutical-company/story-fnca0u4y-1226687451443 Looks like what I remembered were actually just 'notes' from Dank given to a clinical trial, not actually the trial itself. Still, it means Dank has some data...
  19. I'd say they might be going after their own club as well for a breach of duty of care. This whole thing is unbelievably messy, and I can't help but feel it's just going to get worse. Should have been a lawyer.
  20. Oh man. I honestly forget how good he really is. Can't wait for him to come back. Thanks YD :D
