PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
Not for me. Valente likely for Crows at 16 or 21. McHenry is like a Spargo. Energy but light frame. Small. Goalkicking is average. I think at 23 and 28 there are better midfielders for us (OāHalloran ,Mckenzie ,Ely.Smith , Duursma) We also can get Bedford who fits the small pacy forward with tackling pressure.

Jordan Clark will probably get picked by Eagles at pick 20 or 22. He fits right there and is in the right mould for the Eagles.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Fact. 12 off the top 40 picks are Victorian based teams. 28 picks are for the interstate teams. A lot of very nervous Victorian kids and parents at the draft. Dees two picks at 23 and 28 offers them hope.

2018 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Sturt reminds me of a young Jack Gunston. Plays taller than his height and is a smooth mover like Fritsch. Definitely a chance at pick 23.

Any delisted free agents being considered? Mav Weller? Perhaps he supports midfield depth.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
36 on list now. Maybe grab a delisted free agent (Mav Weller?) Picks 23,28, 54,62,91. I think we will use all 5. #23,#28 - any of Xavier OāHalloran, Ely Smith, Xavier Duursma, Tom McKenzie or Sydney Stack #54 likely on Toby Bedford # 62 on Vfl mature type likely Marty Hore, Jay Lockhart or Corey Wagner #91 is a complete punt Keilty will be a rookie upgrade. Gives us 2 rookie spots to fill on needs. Tall forward for depth in case of Weideman or Tmcd going down.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Mav Weller anyone? I know delisted from Saints who finished 16th but he is a tough competitor proven at the level. Even if we give him a 1- year deal to provide depth and cover across the year. Now Tyson is gone, depth is to be considered. It might also help out and protect the Casey mids development (we will probably add 3-4 young 18 year old draftees).

2018 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
That draft would be ideal. Very good choices IMO. Mckenzie, Stack, Ayton-Delaney and Bedford all have pace. Real pace. Our outside run ādevelopmentā would be addressed. Munn is a very good young forward and needs 2-3,years more development. At pick 62, definitely we would have to seriously consider. I like either Lockhart, Bewley, Hore or Hind as potential rookies. Hind again is the pace and break the line style of player. At 23, he could be in the selection mix early. I think we wouldnāt be disappointed with Hind as a rookie.
