Are we the slowest side?
Kozzzy has the elite speed in the forward 50. He need to prioritize to retain him. ⭐️ Hunt is a loss given that he covered a lot of small defenders in 2022 (except when Hibbo took Charlie Cameron). Rivers might have to fill that role more. Bedford looked good when given an opportunity but needed to show more. Baker didn’t play so not missed … he simply was behind Langdon and Brayshaw and not called upon. Jonti Schuback in my view was the best youngster who missed out getting drafted, I’d like to see us either pickup him or add him to Casey Demons roster. He has excellent pace and skill. I have called out that now is the time to look forward to get youngsters with midfield speed and another half back rebounding runner in the 2023 draft.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Wish list in 2023 draft. Pace and pace and run and run. Like to see another quality mid and 2 youngsters with genuine pace as half back/outside runners. Lorenz currently on the top of the 2023 names imv.

Best 44 for Melbourne
Still trying to work out how Max Gawn as Captain and the current All Australian ruckman … is being put as full forward, forward pocket or bench. Grundy comes in but surely he starts on the bench and rotates in. Gawn can rest forward or a spell on the Pune only.

Best 44 for Sydney
Strong versatile and fast team. Very good recruiting and list management. Got excellent kids through their academy. Blakey Mills Heeney Campbell Gulden. That’s 5 excellent young players. Even playing field? They will be top 4 again in my view.

Libby Birch - We Love You
Absolutely loved reading this on AFL website. A beautiful insight into the mindset of an AFL player, team and club. Libby has herself been a huge addition to the MFC several years ago. Libby - We Love You. A true believer in the people and the community of a footy club.

Casey Demons off season
Agree. White and Munro were huge through the whole year. Grey played excellent footy when given the opportunity.

Casey Demons off season
Thanks @Whispering_Jack Shame to see a local lad like Ellison move to Williamstown. Casey has been very good at uplifting local talent and giving them an opportunity. I would like to see young Roan Steele develop more in 2023. Hope Casey retains him. Ryan Valentine, Tommy McRae and Myles Shepherd all took their opportunities and would be welcomed back. Luca Goonan also one kid who I thought showed some talent as a inside mid type. From the 2022 under 18s group, undrafted duo Luke Bailey from Stingrays and Jonti Schuback from Gippsland look the most likely youngsters now available to come into the program.

Best 44 for Port Adelaide
Port will be top 8 and in the battle for top 4 in my view.

Current All Australian ruckman demoted to the bench. No way. Gawn will start in my view.

Casey Demons off season
https://www.williamstownfc.com.au/10-latest-news/2647-corey-ellison-joins-williamstown Ouch. He showed ability as a forward and defender for Casey. Obviously thought he will get more guaranteed games and game time , plus more dollars down at Willy. I thought Eliison might have nearly earned a late rookie position with the Dees or another club in the latest draft. Also read that Matt Buntine off to Caulfield Grammarians (Old Boys) in VAFA in 2023. Last years main Casey players were Munro, White, Ellison, Buntine, Grey, Bell, and Steele, whilst cameo appearances for youngsters like Baldi, Milford, Quigley, Josh Smith and Valentine. Really hope Steele stays as he showed plenty of skill and determination and could be a future rookie. With coach Corrigan give to the Cats, new coach Whitford might need to add 6-7 new faces to the Casey VFL 14 squad.

Dees Heading Back to the Red Centre in 2023
Love that we are back to Alice Springs. Very supportive of the I’ve been to Darwin twice back a few years ago and enjoyed it. Hopefully I can get time to get to the Alice game in the next year or so.

2023 Demonland Banner
Love it. We have Daisy as one of the legends. Plus Kate Hore. MFC AFLW B&F winner 2022. I love how she plays. Attacks the footy. Loves a goal. Tackles like it’s personal.

Jumper numbers for season 2023?
From todays announcement, got 5/8 for the new players. If only I’d seen Hunter in 12 as you had noted it’s be 6/8. Great to see JVR get #2. I’m sure Stephen May #1 will get into JVRs ear about what defenders try to do. What a better mentor could you wish for.

Jumper numbers for season 2023?
It’s a sign that the club really really really see JVR as part of the future. And want him to stay no matter what the two western Australian teams throw at him in years to come !!

Casey Demons off season

Casey Demons off season
https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/12/06/the-two-biggest-hard-luck-stories-out-of-the-2022-afl-draft/ I think surely it makes sense for Szybkowski to be added to the Dees train on group and if not picked up, then get a gig with Casey. He gets the footy no problems. He’s a local Beaconsfield boy so makes sense.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I’d definitely have Will Lorenz slotted into this group. Displayed such skills and decision making. Love to see him in contention for one of the Dees picks in 2023.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Maybe the kid should just rest up for another year and ensure he’s fully recovered!!! (#DeesNGApick)

Trent Burgoyne
I like it. Pace and some skills. Hoping he can get his body into great shape. With Choco as well guiding his development. He’d be a handy addition. https://central.rookieme.com/afl/player/trent-burgoyne/
