Melbourne have the worse supporters and congrats to thoes who went. It was a brillient game and the sight of bate, mclean, jones, austin, valenti, moloney, garland all made me smile. But this club has not got enough pashionate supporters and will struggle to ever be a powerhouse without them. If u follow melbourne get to the ground. These guys are doing there best and part of following a club is to watch them play well and at times watch them struggle. If u call urself a supporter but dont go to games or chip in finantually or with presence then just dont follow the club.

I dont think there is anyone on our team thats untouchable. I posted a comment about 3 weeks ago saying Mclean should be traded and got a lot of bagging for it. There are 0 stares at melb. 0. I would very happly trade Mclean + Jones for pick 2. Fact is it will never happen. To be frank im really peeved at melb for resigning so many hacks including bruce and a number of others. Bruce would be worth a 3rd rounder which is what we need. I cant see melb being a contender for the flag for 6 years. We have a crap FB, no CHB no CHF and no FF. The spine of teams takes a long long time to get right. Hawks did it well creating a team around the spine. This is where CAC and danners failed. So i would be happy trading anyone. Players not worthy of resigning shouldnt be. Thought from my mates are that the afl will give the 2 new teams a lot of draft picks to which they can use to snare players from other clubs. If this were to happen it would be the best thing for the MFC. I just cant believe the amount of people that had a go at me for suggesting we need to tank. Not only that but slamming me for saying it will be 6 years before we have a good chance.

I am going to recieve hell for this but iv had it. Neitz is not worthy of being captain. There are 0 positives about his games so far. He is completly overwhelmed and although i have never rated him, this has no effect on my criticism today. Although McLean and Jones are players who look like they will never be in the AFL top 50, they are young and could be inspiring and learn a great deal. There is no advantage in neitz captaining the team. He takes the number 1 backman and thats it

I dont believe bell is a good defender. He is constantly behind the ball, gets lost in the game and cant mark. I have no confidance he will be any good. I believe we should be investing what will be a bad year into training him into a midfielder. He has speed and some of the skills to make him play a little better. One thing that he will always struggle with is his decision making skills as these are woefull. Now im going to be bagged.....

Brock Mclean would b. I honestly think we should trade this kid. I just cant see him being worthy of a top 5 pick and apart from Cooney the others have proved a joke. He is immiture off field and struggled not only last year but at times in 2006. Jones is a better player and we could actually get a better player for mclean

Completly agree with you there. The tie is hidious and when am i going to wear it? Not every melbourne supporter goes to games in a suit, infact very few do. Its pathetic. And the pen haha that broke within 2 minutes and i didnt even take it apart to read the thing inside it at that stage. My membership was sent without the redeption gift card and its been 6 weeks and i still havnt recieved it since letting them know. I called them up recently and and explained i had been waiting for it to be sent and they said they had no record of one needing to be sent and they will send one and it will be sent within 14 working days. Christ its really really pathetic.

I was there yesterday watching the pain of melbourne and a gameplan worthy of handballing and passing to people under pressure. I take from this game that DB is changing the game plan significantly. It is obvious from the fact Port play similar footy and the preseason had an emphisis on teaching the players the new plan. Give it time. It wont happen overnight and infact it will take 5 years i believe to have a team worthy of a top 4 finish. But stick with them. I know its horrible to watch and depressing but the team needs us to stick by them and support them thru the good and the bad times. There is no point dwelling on what draft picks we should have got also. Look at the issues at hand and keep supporting the club which is trying its best to win and be sucsessful
