  1. This is the point i always come back to, people need to really ask themselves, would we really be this bad if we had Ross Lyon as a coach?
  2. Voss maybe as a midfield coach, and Williams as a senior coach, personally i'd rather Roo's, he was a big part in building the swans culture, that's what we're working at.
  3. I think the biggest issue is Watts is a forward that's where he looks the best in my opinion and he isn't playing there give him a few weeks straight of wing/half forward and i reckon you'll see some really good form from him
  4. Sylvia and watts may both leave, Frawley will stay unless we get an offer we can't refuse, if he wants to leave to go to a winning team the draft wouldn't be an option because surely GWS would be all over him, Jamar is another i can't see being on the list next year with how well gawn is going.
  5. I think the talent is there, the structure and development systems aren't, a paul roos walks through the door, shuffles things the right way and gets us out of the hole we are in and he goes down as the greatest coach of all time. what we need is to sell belief to the players, so we need to pay whatever it takes to get an experienced coach who can do that and help them realise their full potential just an example HF:Blease Clark Watts F: Howe Hogan Dawes That in my opinion stacks up in terms of personal and attributes with any other team in the comp right now, in 3-4 years it'll be significantly better again, and we have some mids bursting with talent and our defence is reasonable but under too much heat. (Note, this wouldn't happen overnight, whoever we hire will need time, i am just not convinced Neeld has enough belief from the players to do this job )
  6. Realistically we just about have to chase daisey, maybe Dal santo and corey too or something like that and offer them assistant coaching roles as part of the offer, that would prop us up for 2-3 years which our young mids develop Getting hold of a gun from another team would be handy too, Jack watts to Carlton for mitch robinson and a third round pick?
  7. It would have to be one hell of an offer to even consider it, there are some pretty decent young mids coming through the draft system this year, if we get a priority pick it might be worth floating one of those.
  8. I agree, i think he will be sacked mid year if not sooner but i hope Royal is sacked also, we are trying to develop an elite midfield, our forward line doesn't look terrible on paper at full strength, hopefully they chase Brett Kirk or Lingy as a midfield coach and get the blokes like Trengove, Toumpas, Viney, Grimes, Jones, and co learning from a premiership star midfielder.
  9. No offence, but Barry can't even hold his spot in caseys seniors, why play a bloke clearly not up to it? Sellar and pederson in the same side to me is tanking, those two shouldn't be on an AFL list.
  10. In my opinion Port were as bad as we are now under primus, the right people in place we might get more out of our players and realise we aren't as bad as we might have thought, Injuries aren't helping us at the moment.
  11. He is a workman, hard running type mid, reminds me abit of Daniel cross, never going to be an out and out superstar but reliable and definately in our best 22 at this stage
  12. If football was golf, we'd be winning every week.. New sport for Neeldy perhaps?
  13. He is a WA boy, if he doesn't stay at Geelong, he will go to West coast or Freo regardless of what we offer.
  14. If he isn't selected again would he be the worst rookie selection? or the risk of a negative impact on the group too great?
  15. Great post mate, that's all i have to say.
  16. Crouch and Billings for mine, love billings disposal and crouch is just a ready to go hard nut like ollie wines.
  17. I can honestly say this is the worst i have felt as a Melbourne supporter since losing in the 2000 grand final, i wish it was as simple as just supporting a different team.
  18. Get the feeling Jackson will want to know the opinions of as many people as possible before he makes a decision on when the right time is, i hope it's ASAP but that's just me
  19. He will also have some weight behind his word when he says we are on the right track, he has built a great culture and would be worth whatever we had to pay him in my opinion, i imagine alot of players would respond well to him also.
  20. I don't know the players personally, so i have no idea i am assuming something is wrong because the players aren't putting in enough effort, surely you have to admit that?
  21. I would like you to name these players, of yesterdays game i would say Spencer, Nicholson sellar and bail are outright not at AFL standard Frawley, Dunn, Mckenzie, strauss, davey, garland, tapscott, byrnes and dawes are AFL standard but didn't have good games. ( for whatever reason ) and the rest are the only thing holding our club together.
  22. Which players specifically are you suggesting? it's entirely possible a good number just have no faith in their coach and this is being reflected in their effot.
  23. The old saying " the best way to train is as you would play."
  24. I don't think there are too many concerns about GWS not playing for Sheedy though, my concern isn't the results as much as it's the way we are losing, the players don't seem to believe or understand Neelds plan, maybe he would be better off with another club and we'd be better off with someone else, no shame in the job being too much for him, pretty sure it would be for 99% of inexperienced coaches.
  25. We need to put it to the AFL that we are in danger of reaching a situation we can't come back from, they might help us get a good coach and deal with that situation, bit either way we can't sit on our hands when we are losing to teams like gold coast by 10 goals.
