What sort of overall trade week out comes would people be happy with? for me i'm not sure what trade bait we have, but i'd love Adams, Miles, Cross and Aish and i think that is fairly realistic if our PP was a late 1st round pick we could trade that for adams, trade another pick for miles ( hugely underrated and fantastic leader) sign cross as a free agent and Aish i think is the best of the mids in the draft for our pick 2

Melbourne has moved on from Roos
Ted Lasso replied to red and blue forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
Absolutely mate, simply because where there is smoke there is fire, so many people were so confident he would coach us for quite some time, even a week ago, some high profile people were confident so it's entirely possible there is something we don't know going on there Having said that, i'd rather Williams or Eade. -
Melbourne has moved on from Roos

It's a strange situation but we can say with reasonable confidence that a. we won't know who will coach us until the season is over b. it will be one of Roos, Eade, Williams and Craig any i think will be a great get, but the recruiting off season will be far more important, if we don't adress our midfield needs well, jesus christ himself couldn't turn this ship around. -

The AFL must surely be feeling pretty stupid? Tassie would have had what 30k members from the word go

And Eade would be a great get for us, but i would be utterly shocked if Williams didn't want the job. -
10 years time will show which is a better position to be in, we still might be no good, they might well not be full stop.

I would love to see Choco in Red and Blue, he might be abit of a nutter but he develops players fantastically well, our underachievers like Watts, trenners, tapscott and so on might well really take some strides under his guidance, we do have a good amount of talent for him to work with. and Jesse Hogan would be enough to have most prospective coaches keen to consider us. -
Luke Tapscott - Another one of BP's Specials?
Ted Lasso replied to olisik's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would Luke Tapscott appeal to another team as trade bait? I would love to hang on to him but i don't see how he fits into the team, he can put on a good bump, but with watts and howe we have no room for him on the hff and he is not quick or does not have the engine to be an inside mid. -

Fair enough, better we get a desperate choco williams than a half hearted Roos anyway. -
Was a silly move from the word go, Tassie would have been a much better option.

i wonder how trenners would go in a lecras role? he is pretty handy overhead -
Melbourne has moved on from Roos

absolutely we are attractive, someone gets trenners and watts playing like all australians and we do what port has done and they go down as the best coach ever and the biggest problem i'd say is belief -

i still have no idea who is going to coach us, but for the first time in a LONG time i feel as though the club has it under control and will get it right. -

Does the MFC deserve draft assistance?

I couldn't care less about the PP, just excited about possibly having a premiership coach next yers -
It'd be great wouldn't it? Sadly i can't see us finding out any time soon, at this stage it still might well be Roos, i'm glad Jackson seems to have stopped the constant info leaking but just some sort of idea would be really nice at this point
-
Oh sorry, look i think all three are on a different planet in that respect compared to Roos, but i think Williams would probably be the best of the three in terms of sponsors and members, premiership coach, took apart the great Brisbane team, very outgoing and i think will really talk the list up and get people excited
-
Williams is a premiership coach and i think that will be a huge tick if it comes to choosing, i am hoping for eade, during his time at the bulldogs they played a skillful hard running style which i think would really suit our list
-
How good would it be to get Sewell, wines, adams and miles ?
-
Bryce gibbs is a pretty handy player mate, doubt there would be another team that would not be all over him if he wanted to leave the blues, and cale morton may have just been a dud pick.
-
He's what 18? no need to panic.
-
Very confident Trengove will be fine when he gets an injury free run at it, his situation hasn't changed since we found out he had a stress fracture at the start of the year. Jimmy toumpas has really impressed me, i think he best attributes are above the shoulders in terms of helping the club, he is a very enthusiastic young man and brings alot of positive energy to the group

blessing in disguise? what makes roos a better option than the other three? similar type records, and im sure longmire and lyon did as much for the culture of the swans as roos did.
