TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 5
Ted Lasso replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Jack is perfect and above criticism, we get it. I am desperately hoping it's an injury and not a combination of that and extra pressure from being captain. -
THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
Ted Lasso replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in General Discussion
That's all based on the assumption that he did anything illegal at the Gold Coast, given he was also involved at the cats I think bomber knew all he needed to know. If you have some evidence bomber please come forwards otherwise stfu -
I agree, they have beaten carlton, Brisbane, and Collingwood and fallen over the line against a wasteful west coast. far from convinced they can do it against better opposition

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS

Karma. -
No, tommy is a better player and oscar and frost are developing nicely and we would have to take on his salary which he is worth about half of.
-
So that's what happened to mavs face! Didn't think it could get that way on its own
-
Yes and no, i would say before the season I would have been happy to beat the dockers and blues but lose to the saints and cats but given our round 1 win my expectation was 3-1 so the freo loss stings a bit
-
As would I, if they'd accept Ben Kennedy for him
-
Someone like poppy might hold some value to a team like the giants who don't really have a genuine small forward but is contending for a flag, I suspect they should try and get at least 2 top15 picks this year if they can need a quick injection of young talent onto that list
-
Agreed petracca watts kent jeffy hogan nibbler/hannan speed will trouble the tigers
-
I think they need a re build and will probably trade a couple of players at years end.
-
I think today was more about touch than match fitness for hibberd and he looked our best to me
-
After round 4 I rate the teams 1. Crows 2. Giants 3.cats 4. Tigers 5. Power 6. Eagles 7.demons 8. Saints
-
I would go with just hogan and watts as the tall forwards, tigers like the cats I think struggle to defend the smalls and we play better when we lower our eyes out weideman, bugg in: Trengove, hibberd
-
So you attack a posters view for suggesting it may be an issue and then admit he needs an entire pre season to maybe fix this issue but really don't know. No one wants trenners to fail, you imagine that because you take criticism of players personally, some posters are just a bit more honest about where players are at.
-
Trengove is getting the ball but having little impact on the game, I think he will really improve as a player when he is more attacking with his ball use, he is a beautiful kick and very smart
-
Rose coloured glasses I'd say saty, pretty hard to miss the lack of speed. I have also seen him 6 times love this year but have this wonderful ability to have a balanced view on players without letting emotion dictate that opinion.
-
Attacking a posters view without offering your own again beyond " FD might see it differently" how do you see that issue being improved? if it's easy to improve why has he not to this point been able to do it?
-
Brayshaw looks good but he is to quick for his team mates with disposal
-
I suspect when we have a fully fit hibberd in the side and Lewis back Vince will become a very handy midfield rotation half back doesn't suit him but I think Goodwin would rather keep Salem in the midfield for his development and not sure who else could play that role
-
I think you're right dazzle, we are a team in transition so we have to balance playing young guys so they develop and trying to win as many games as possible. Weideman is the future and pederson is not so I think there is some logic there, in saying that hogan coming in and weid having a rest would be a good move for now I think
-
My less obvious prediction for this week's match
Ted Lasso replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Tigers haven't been tested by a really strong opposition so far this year, they've beaten he pies, blues, pies and a very wasteful west coast (admittedly a good win) i view us even with our injuries as the best opposition they've faced this year so it'll be a good test for both sides. -
The tigers have had a very good draw so far. I think we will beat them pretty comfortably
-
a lot of it was just frustration I think mate but I do have some minor concerns. The biggest thing is now how we respond, does our season go into free fall or do we bounce back?
-
I'd probably give weld a rest and being in hogan, i wouldn't rush hibberd in unless he dominates
