Jack Grimes Needs to become Lenny Hayes of Melbourne
ashdemons22 replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
that's just stupid unrealistic comment with a hint of sarcasm. So whats your opinion to improvement, early Draft picks will solve our problems? We need current senior players to take the next step and improve if we are going to get any where. and Grimes stepping it up in the Mid and basing his game around Hayes is realistic. -
I have been looking at the comparison between them both and i think Jack can step up his game in 2013 and become an elite Mid in the mould of Lenny. First he must trim down, become leaner Second he must have a huge preseason with the view to play mid all year. Lenny is 186cm 83kg Jack 187cm 85kg I love the way Grimes goes about his footy and Neeld should make him set his style around Hayes in 2013 .

What will you do if we are severely penalised?
ashdemons22 replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Go to Visy and punch Mclean in his ugly pimple head (not sers) Doubt anything will Happen. Liberatore came out and said same things about Carlton that Mclean said about us, not to mention Fevola also saying it. -
Does the Pressure Build on Neeld? Are we Tanking? Was Neeld the right Man for the Job? Which Players didn't stand up again? Whose career is over after Sunday? Will Don McLardy make a speech?

FB Rivers Frawley D NIcholson HB Grimes T Mcdonald J Watts C Jones Trengrove S Blease HF Howe Martin Syliva FF Jurrah Clark Garland R Jamar, Gysberts Mckenzie Int Bail Tapscott Jetta, Strauss Thats How I would line then up if I had full side to choose Still this side would get flogged in the midfield lacking class, pace, spread Foward line could be dangerous at times, missing quick FB Jetta to fill the role for time being Garland must play up foward, cost us to much down back to many errors And yeah did i say we need Classy Midfielders??
-
I just remembered that last year around trade week,we offered Chris Dawes a huge contract around the same as we gave M Clark. Luckily for us he turned it down and stated he wanted to remain at the pies Well thank god he did, IMAGINE we had him at FF, things could be even worse and bleak .

The real question is there any reason OUR recruiters did not make a play for Saad or Milera which the saints got for basically nothing, I watched Saad play at the Bullants last year and I thought he would be a great small foward for any AFL team, how could they miss that
-
how about Jeremy Cameron how is he going this year, what is his body size like? I am very cynical about Cook, Barry Prendergast loved those skinny players in the draft
-
Your Kidding right Jetta is the most electrifying player in the comp at the momment, not to mention he has kicked 36 goals from the wing/half foward While Darling is a beast of a player smashes the packs, runs all day and has kicked around 30 goals this year, so IMAGINE his improvement in 3-4 years Cook struggles at VFL
-
Ohh i get it Danyle or over Daniel got it haha
-
are you saying I mispelt it?
-
We are lacking pace and spread. Also could play as foward pocket. I say go after him!
-
I share the same view as you spot on, Stringer is true footballer having seen him just last week up in bendigo, Also agree with you on Toumpass and Trengrove
-
I do rate Toumpas, the hip is a worry though, going for Stringer and Toumpas is very risky so if i had to pick one guy with an injury history I would lean towards Stringer. D
-
Ok I believe Kennedy will go anywhere from 4 -15 in the draft, He is quite small in height but I have seen him live and he actually very solid and will fill out in no time. He is super quick and i love his spread, also he does go in hard for the ball, His kicking reminds me of Adam Maric and also the height factor worries me a little bit we all know how Maric has gone but seeing Dion Prestia last two years, I would go with him potentially at a pick 4 that's how much i like of him, where Garlett has FREAKISH skills he is your Cyril Riloi match winner wont star week in week out but will win you big games of footy, forget his endurance and off field issues the kid will be a star, i say grab him at pick #13 hoping he is still there. Stringer is your typical country lad, i seen him play against the northern knights this week and he bagged a few. If he dint break his leg he would be fighting Whitfield for number 1 spot, he has awkward running style could be because of the break it is a bit Dane Swan like. I would take the risk and get him at pick #3 Mayes i really haven't seen much to comment on him, whats the story on him?

I think you may be right once read it again haha thank god

Each year i get around to the under 18 carnival and i watch a fair amount of TAC cup footy. I reccon I am a preety good judge of young players this easy said once they have been drafted But In 09 i was praying we picked up Lewis Jetta at pick 12 we got Gysberts and 2010 was also once again hoping for Darling but we got Cook This year if we keep all our picks i hope it looks like this Pick# 3 I am torn betweenBen Kennedy and Oliver Wines Pick# 4 Jesse Stringer forget his injury will be a star. Pick #13 Dayle Garlett and the next pick what ever it may be #20 Jack Viney
-
NO NO NO NO Thats just going Backwards trading Frawley You win Flags with a good backline i dont care what you would get for him
-
Stringer has the potential to be a Dustin Martin Type player in the guts. And can go foward Also we must i mean must pick Dayle Garlett up around #13 he is going to be a star
-
Never going to Happen just dumb, Also Magner should not be played as FP to slow, although Neeld likes him as defensive tag in foward line i dont think it is worth it Chuck him in the center to do the rough and tough stuff And we will not trade him not going to happen
-
Yeah still at North him and A Edwards are to similar and Scott wont play them both in the same side, Was handy player at the eagles think he has gone ohk In the VFL this year also

Trading our First two Picks for Beams & Wellingham
ashdemons22 replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just giving possible scenarios. And to think Goldsack and Wellingham should be at the saints, stupid Ross Lyon -
Ohk I pose the question would you give up our first 2 picks in the draft to collingwood for Beams and Wellingham Answer with a reason and opinion as to yes or no Melb gets an A Grader in Beams and possibly B+ player in Sharrod. we know they can play and dont need to risk picking a dud in the draft Jones, Beams, Wellingham, Viney, Gysberts, Trengove, Mckenzie, Sylvia Looking like a good midfield now with depth While collingwood saves cash and gets 2 early gun 18 year olds on a min wage which will free up their salary
