  3. Just heard on the couch about Ports first session in pre season. After 15 minute skills session that went terrible, Hinkley brought the boys in and said 'guys we dont have time for this we cant afford this' sent them off for 3km time trial. Tough love babey.
  4. I am curious how the forward line is going to look. Does Clark come back? Is Dawes ready? Doubtful Does Fitzpatrick come in 7 goals in 2 games. Does Pederson get dropped? Also does Watts go forward? Option 1 HF Howe Gawn Sylvia FF Byrnes Clark Fitzpatrick Option 2 HF Howe Gawn Sylvia FF Byrnes Fitzpatrick Pederson Option 3 HF Howe Dawes Sylvia FF Byrnes Clark Gawn Option 4 HF Howe Gawn Sylvia FF Byrnes Fitzpatrick Watts
  5. Hogan knee nothing structal wrong. Ligaments seem to be all ok Trainers not to worried. Just a knock on ice.
  6. I always hear the argument its a development thing, we don't develop players. So I want to bring up the coaching staff at the MFC. I have compared our coaching staff to Collingwood in terms the AFL games played by the coaches and the experience they bring. I also might add it would not be fair to compare us to a powerhouse like Collingwood, so I also compared us to the Bulldogs. Yes I know a good AFL career does not make you a good coach but surely these statistics must come into play. Surely success at AFL level is a good stepping stone to jump into a coaching career. I ask the question is it a football department money issue why we are so far behind? in terms of our coaches playing experience. Or are we just struggling to get good experienced AFL people in our club? Have a look yourself. Mark Neeld 74 AFL games Nathan Buckley 280 AFL games Brendan McCartney 0 AFL games Neil Craig 0 AFL games Rodney Eade 259 AFL games Shannon Grant 301 AFL games Jade Rawlings 148 AFL games Ben Hart 311 AFL games Brent Montogmery 204 AFL games Leigh Brown 246 AFL games Matthew Lappin 251 AFL games Rohan Smith 300 AFL games Brian Royal 199 AFL games Robert Harvey 383 AFL games Steven King 240 AFL games Andrew Nichol 3 AFL games Mitch Hahn 181 AFL games Peter German 185 AFL games Paul Slattery 0 AFL games Anthony Rocca 242 AFL games Ashley Hansen 78 AFL games Aaron Greaves 0 AFL games Tarkyn Locker 227 AFL games Chris Maple 0 AFL games Melbourne = 670 games Collingwood = 2,134 games Western Bulldogs 1,308 games
  7. One to have a look at playing in the VFL for northen blues team is Timmy Totevski. super quick, knows where the goals are. Only 20 years old, played for Knights/Vic Metro 2 years ago. Could be Ahmed Saad of this year. If you get chance have a look when ABC has sat game on. Smokey!
  8. I am not here knock Jimmy but I feel for Dean Kent, he has been really unlucky to not get and AFL game yet. Toumpas struggled most of the NAB cup games and then got a call up round 1 and has struggled the next 2 games. Instead of going to Casey last week Jimmy was named an emergency. I just want to know how can this help him improve? On the other hand Kent showed a lot of promise in the NAB Cup, and has still has not got a call up even after playing with Casey. Thoughts?

  10. This is a team that last year coaches were pulling out of the coaching job because they thought they were that much of a rubble. Wow look at them now. They got a hard edge coach. A new CEO The have brought in quality young players from other clubs Monfries,Stevenson,Heath, along with young draftees like Wines, and Neade, Mitchell from the WAFL. Hinkley has improved players in the space of 1 pre season like Hartlett,Pittard,Moore,Wingard,Jonas they were all struggling under Primus. Dont worry about Richmond this is how you do it.
  11. Well this becomes intresting now! I called it early last year.
  12. No we cannot judge him yet. He is clearly not ready. Coming back from a hip injury late last year. He is long way from senior AFL football. Once again it shows the coaching staff incompetence. Early thread I made with similar comparisons. http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/33147-trengrovetoumpas-martinwines/#entry717862
  13. Sellar, Pederson could have played the forward line role if M Clark did not come up. And Spencer could be the second ruck Not saying they would do it well but it was and option. Hey I am not a coach and I can come up with plan B how come Neeld cannot. Watts has trained in the backline all preseason. What so is he a forward now? I am confused
  14. Why drop him then? What is he learning not playing at any league. Just stupid.
  15. What the [censored] is the point? I was under the impression if you get ommited, you go back to the VFL work on things then come back after your form is good. What good is dropping Watts this week and Rodan in round 1 then having them as emergencys the following week. Players like Taggert, Kent, Magner,Stark, Strauss should all be emergencys not a player who has been dropped for bad form. It makes no sense just like Mark Neeld as coach.
  16. Gawn in the best today with Casey. Catch you later Jamar.
  17. Well I called it early on. He did nothing to earn a spot for round 1 with his form in the NAB. I said he should start at Casey and earn his spot with good form. He is getting a game because he is the #4 pick. Really pisses me off, dont we learn anything from history. Watts Queens Birthday 2010. He is cleary not ready.
  18. His kicking is horrid, one of the worst in our team
  19. Funny you say that. The atmosphere all preseason has been great, Come game day not so great. We are going to get rolled on Saturday Fact
