What They Are Saying at Punt Road
Well They certainly don't like the umpires and the coach aka Mini is on the nose (mention of not having a plan B....where have we heard that before)

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs North Melbourne
Very much agree. It's an obvious move and one we complained about when not made last year. A harder decision would be resting May and playing Tomlinson and Smith down back. I'd give Schache a go as sub simply because he covers back and forward and ruck (not fantastically well perhaps) Harmes, Hibberd, Spargo Jordon Woewodin... I'll leave to the selection committee

CASEY: Rd 19 vs Williamstown
Not many positives out of that game. Williamstown's stronger bodies resulted in a number of contested marks and their forward entry had better system. Three goals from free kicks in that first quarter didn't help

Farewell Brodie Grundy
AFL rules allow for payouts due to long term injury. The amount included in the salary cap is agreed with the AFL. It's not 100% by any means. Commonly used for retirements due to concussion. Where it becomes tough is the so called "Buddy Principle". When Sydney offered Buddy a contract going beyond his seemingly useful playing days the AFL said they would not allow the injury payout rule to be used if the the injury was age related wear and tear

Farewell Brodie Grundy
This was mentioned in the media a few weeks back. If correct sounds like some sloppy paper work. Not quite as bad as the Dogs and Pies with Treloar but up there. Hopefully they covered off the scenario plus others such as smoothing out his contract. As salary dumps become more common it's perhaps time that the agreements became less opaque
