  1. we do like the high nothing ball into the forward line
  2. who is Casey's small forward
  3. Brown and TMac being thrashed
  4. casey midfielders lack a lot today the game plan is ponderously slow as we all know and lends itself to the running counter attack from our half forward line
  5. and yet another to tigers from direct broken play
  6. way too many handballs by Casey 5 goals to richmond this quarter
  7. the behind parade
  8. some corridor play occasionally by Casey would be useful
  9. turnover kings today
  10. Weird....Thursday TMac named in team and Schache can't make squad Saturday... no TMac and Schache named as emergency
  11. Ted Lasso
  12. JUH is a future star..OOC end of 2024
  13. Triangles !!!!
  14. think as Eddie would.. this is a football wide issue on which the national code must take a stand. It is not appropriate that the NT be compensated by a game in Darwin nor is it equitable that the financial burden should fall on the competing clubs. A compensatory payment should be made by the AFL equal to what the competing clubs would have received
  15. in a very long season it's still time to think about the final 4 A game in Perth is off the radar but SA Qld and Sydney are possibles On that basis Cats over Swans and the miracle of Eagles and Hawks over the two Adelaide teams Giants over Lions Freo over dogs for the obvious reasons The rest ????
  16. Also just noticed Harmes didn't get named on the extended bench. His game for Casey was very solid and perhaps he could have taken Spargo's spot. Dunstan being named is interesting
  17. TMac holds his place and no spot for Schache on the extended bench Will be interesting to see if Brown plays VFL Of the 8 on the extended bench you can only guarantee Grundy and Hibberd as inclusions. Any of the remaining six could get the last two spots
  18. $80M for three more years Desperado https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/afl-reaps-80m-from-gather-round-deal-20230419-p5d1rw.html The AFL will reap a major windfall from the Gather Round deal with South Australia, receiving close to $80 million in cash and non-capital investment from the SA government for the next three years. And, as sources familiar with the deal confirmed, the AFL will benefit even further if infrastructure and longer-term spending on facilities and community footy are counted in the deal announced on Sunday by Premier Peter Malinauskas and AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan Hope he got an exclusivity clause because knowing the AFL they might sell the same real estate several times
  19. Casey play Richmond at Casey on Sunday at 1:35pm Interesting who they will rest as emergencies for Monday night (I assume the final AFL 22 are named Sunday night)
  20. come on now...we've had thirty odd years of grand prix accounting in Victoria you were robbed !!! The real question is can you make it pay next year The problem with State numbers are numerous but in the first instance they count expenditure by people living in Adelaide. Next they count the number of time Adelaide was mentioned on TV and radio = mega bucks It goes on
  21. you get to spike twice was my idea... same with the airlines 25-30k influx is the maximum Adelaide can handle. Went there a lot while working and when the Adelaide Test was on you could not get accommodation within 50k of the city. Brisbane and Gold Coast probably has triple the accommodation by comparison Can't see them making money if groups drive over and back in car pools
  22. what if it was a bye in itself... ie stretched over two weekends Takes the pressure off the A0.... accommodation gets a double hit In any event the timing of the round needs to be published 6 months at least in advance. Many cruise ships head to Melbourne for Cup day... why not to Adelaide for football. The football is just the event which you hang the tourist (money making) baubles off
  23. Shache is icing not the cake. His games at Casey have varied between okay and good. By comparison he didn't dominate like TMac did in the VFL game that earned him a recall. He couldn't hold down a place in the bulldogs team and was upset when JUH got a run of games at his expense. Play him if you will but I'm not sure you'll get more than you would get from TMac on a normal day. VFL is a long way off AFL standard. I'll leave this one to the selectors but I do agree that Gawn should not be rushed back which is something Goodwin might have done in the past
  24. how are your toes old dee 33 where I am
  25. nice mark and goal to " my man" Schache
